DOCTORS- Patronising Princess is causing trouble at'Mill - and will we ever find out what happened to Dr Ashdown?

1000 replies

Raahh · 14/04/2022 13:43

In answer to the question- probably not.

But I'm still hoping that we find out Princess was behind his disappearance. The episode with her mother pointed to a shady past.

And the drugs that Heston took were called Viper, i have remembered.
(Kept me awake, that did)

I think my granny had curtains like Lorna's dress- in the 70s.

Run away from that little shit.

Binglebong · 14/04/2022 14:11

Churchill!

Raahh · 14/04/2022 14:11

doctors I wouldn't be surprised if she does cause them trouble.
And now she needs the job. That she's just walked out on. Sad

Are we moving back to filming in normal sized houses, with normal sized kitchens?

LIZS · 14/04/2022 14:12

Back in May?!

Raahh · 14/04/2022 14:13

Back in MAY??

OP posts:
doctorsnoddy · 14/04/2022 14:13

Oh no - doctors off till May! How can they!

Raahh · 14/04/2022 14:14

at the shared outrage.

I wouldn't mind- they will probably be off for their Summer break at the end of June.

and they only do 4 days a week. Grin

Speak to you all in May then ☹️

Sidisawetlettuce · 14/04/2022 14:26

I haven't watched yet but came to say Thank you @Raahh for starting the thread and remembering that the drug was called Viper. I'd never have dredged that up from the depths of my hot cross bun addled brain. That Viper story dragged on for ages as I recall.

Raahh · 14/04/2022 14:32

Sid it did drag on, didn't it?

Hopefully this current drug storyline won't do the same!

Back to Scarlett's dad- the actor did play a headteacher in a show, but it was a Cbbc sho (that dd1 used to watch) called the 4 o'clock club.

And it goes without saying, he's been in Doctors before Grin- about 12/13 years ago, as a police sergeant.

@doctorsnoddy

Ah hooray! I've found you! Poor Scarlet, my practice manager reckoned it took 2 years to fully train as a receptionist- she has been properly dropped in it!
To be fair, your practice probably has more than one patient a day to deal with.
EasterDecorations · 14/04/2022 20:51

Well, May seems like a long way away. What will have changed, will Dr Ashdown stroll back in as if nothing has happened? Or will Sutton Vale just quietly get dropped.

Hopefully Scarlett will stick around and Princess won’t.

I loved today's/yesterday's episode. I like Rob's little crime stories (loved it when they had him and dearly departed Howard together) and it was nice to hear him speaking to the brother about the failings of the force. Scarlett was right, everything she did was criticised. They must be planning on keeping her as we don't normally get this much investment in a character who's only there for a bit. Maeve might get a bit annoying and preachy like Rhuma if this carries on, I hope it doesn't. Loved the mention of the Churchill Estate- since Ayesha left they barely bring it up anymore!!

Sidisawetlettuce · 15/04/2022 13:19

Scarlett is such a petulant misery guts. Do people really speak to their bosses like that? Confused

Raahh · 15/04/2022 13:36

Sid even though I was glad she called them all out for the woeful training she got, back in the real world, I doubt Scarlett would get away with speaking to anyone like that.

Thanks for the new thread Raahh

Funny how the brother and sister grew up on the Churchill Estate, yet both have non Brum accents.

8timesPerWeek · 16/04/2022 21:01

Poor Scarlett being thrown in at the deep end.

FuzzyPuffling · 17/04/2022 17:13

Placemarking with another "poor Scarlett".
No more docTors til May??? Bollocks.

Sidisawetlettuce · 25/04/2022 13:31

May can't come soon enough. I'm missing my daily Bear fix.

smallandimperfectlyformed · 25/04/2022 19:40

I know! I got all excited the kids were back at school and then remembered that it's not back until next week. Now it's probably common knowledge but I have just started watching Extras and Sarah Moyle has a pretty decent sized part in it playing one of the actresses in Andy's dreadful sitcom. I've only ever seen her in WPC 56 other than Doctors I think

Raahh · 25/04/2022 20:33

small that is interesting- I watched Extras- but don't really remember Sarah at all!
It was a while back, I suppose.

Maybe it should track it down.

It's on UK Gold at the moment. As I loved Afterlife and I enjoyed The Office I thought I would give it a go!
