Yes that is like a codly proclamation. Lets all order the radio times immediately! What is didactically?

MamaG · 08/01/2008 12:23

you don't buy it? how do you live?

it is not for old people

it has v interesting articles

do you all buy the TV Chav then

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 08/01/2008 12:27

Ok. That's two people, Capp and finbar.

Two.

Does Finbar get hers on subscription? You must issue codly proclamation if she does.

WHY would anyone buy the RT ?

SorenLorensen · 08/01/2008 12:27

You are preaching to the converted. I just did that very thing (with the offer of a month's quota of issues for a pound then £26 for every 6 months thereafter). I've bought it religiously for...oh about 12 years...it will be lovely to have it drop onto the doormat each week.

ahundredtimes · 08/01/2008 12:28

[amazed]

Anchovy · 08/01/2008 12:29

LOL Cod. I flipped through the Christmas/New Year telly guides (freebie ones from the paper) and circled somethings that I thought it would be good to Skyplus for the children.

DH made it clear in no uncertain terms that that was an Old Persons thing to do. He said "Why don't you just order the Radio Times and have done with it".

My mum gets the Radio Times. There always seem to be a lot of articles about Songs of Praise in it.

Cappuccino · 08/01/2008 12:29

oh 100x you are missing out you are truly not alive

it has all articles in about new drama

and interviews and all sorts

and it has top word puzzle for dh

and funny things

and what is on the radio which only clever people listen to

It is not for Old Folk. Well, I suppose it is - but Old Folk keep it in a leatherette cover with faux gilding so it doesn't get scruffy and lose its cover like mine invariably does.

I used to say that everything I know I learned from Radio Times but now I have to amend it to Radio Times and Mumsnet.

I have never seen an article about the Radio Times

this week there is big interview with Glenn Close about Damages

and I saw cod moaning that no-one was watching it

weell they would know it was on if they bought the bleddy magazine

lol. Yes, and then you had to buy the TV Times too.

Well, I'm still amazed. I have never met anyone who as a subscription to the Radio Times before. Really.

Where is Damages thread? I watched it.

I don't get listings magazines. What are all the others called? Things like TV Super Snack Quick.

Capp - do you also get People's Friend?

WendyWeber · 08/01/2008 12:33

RT is only any use for people who watch too much telly - for people who spend half their lives on MN it would be a total waste of money, obv.

Anyway we get the Sat Guardian which has a lovely neat little TV guide thrown in.
