Wendy, that is not true. I watch very little TV - but I know about all sorts of telly things from reading RT. So when my Mum says "did you see such n'such?" (and she watches everything) I can say "no, but I read about it in RT" - unspoken is...and decided it didn't sound like my kind of thing so I didn't watch it. Which doesn't help because she invariably gives me a blow-by-blow plot synopsis with helpful pointers like "well, it had that man in it who used to be in the hospital thing, I think he was married to Madonna..." My Mum thinks everyone was once married to Madonna (including Bob Geldof) - I don't know why.

Funnily enough RT is THE source of inf about radio progs

(I only know because we always get the big fat Christmas one but you get cast lists and synopses and everything)
