@ArticSaviour

What the fuck? They have paid that much and they cook the fucking food themselves? They should have gone to Tesco!
I couldn't believe that either! It was hugely overpriced just for the ingredients and crockery.
PaddlingLikeADuck · 24/02/2022 22:12

I can’t believe Steph didn’t get fired!

I’m really glad Akshay is still here - I’ve got a bit of a soft spot for him!

ColourBeautiful · 24/02/2022 22:23

Can someone explain the lunch timings?

So they we meant to serve it at 12.30.
Tour finished early clients got there at 12.

Stephanie said the lunch was served 45 mins late, so was it served at 12.45 or 1.15?

TitsInAbsentia · 24/02/2022 22:28

I love that the fired hand was green and brown!

LavenderAskew · 24/02/2022 22:30

Well that was a pain, got a call and had to go on an emergency collection of a teen. So to pause (oddly on Stephanie, so had a debate with myself as to why she had a plaster on her ear or was it in fact an earring)

Anyway, I am SO glad Nick as gone. Useless and exhaustinly drippy.

I was hoping then that Akshay (useless) would go and the Stephanie.

Don't understand the love of the crappy self deluded men on this thread!!

BadHairDayExpert · 24/02/2022 22:41

Stephanie said the lunch was served 45 mins late, so was it served at 12.45 or 1.15?

I assumed 12.45 and she was desperate to deflect.
Had it only been 15 minutes with the table already set up, it would not have been so damning.
But yes, paying 130 pounds (and twice that for the winning team)
for 10 x crockery and ingredients, seems extortionate
Had I been on that task, I would have gone for sandwiches and gone bigger on booze Wink

BadHairDayExpert · 24/02/2022 22:42

And Stephanie should have been fired absolutely
30 minutes early - totally on them and the tour

secular39 · 24/02/2022 22:47

@TitsInAbsentia

I think that's horribly offensive and could be perceived as racist. It's one thing saying a name wrong, its another thing making a joke about it or trying to get a humorous reaction. Harpreet, 'armpit' really?- and shame on the other poster using a laughing emoji.

DrSbaitso · 24/02/2022 22:52

@TitsInAbsentia

I love that the fired hand was green and brown!
Eh?
MondeoFan · 24/02/2022 22:53

@PaddlingLikeADuck I really like Akshay too, let's see if he keeps to his project manager word.
I think it's hard to say you will be PM in the next task for definite when you don't even know what the next task will be

eddiemairswife · 24/02/2022 22:56

I have watched every episode, and still can't distinguish between the girls. Tight dresses in primary colours and longish hair.

secular39 · 24/02/2022 23:12

@MinglingFlamingo

Alright Harpeet 😂 I'd throw her in the massive oven if she was like that with me in the kitchen
I think Harpreet is good but she cannot handle stress well- it was too much for Akeem. I'm sympathetic as I can be like that when under stress but she needs to chill!
MichaelAndEagle · 24/02/2022 23:13

I couldn't understand at all why they were cooking the food either! So unfair, if they had to cook it why would they pay so much?

Italiangreyhound · 24/02/2022 23:20

Well, that was interesting. I thought Stephanie's tour was actually much better. I'd definitely rather have done that than Harpreet 's tour

But I am glad Harpreet 's team won.

I think Harpreet is good and want to see her, and Kathryn in the final.

I cannot believe they had to pay so much money for the food and cook it themselves. In the real world you would not pay a caterer to provide ingredients for almost 30 quid a head!

Fizbosshoes · 24/02/2022 23:27

How the fuck did that price not include someone professional cooking it for them? It's going to be shit....biggest nutfuck task so far in my opinion.

This is what we didn't understand. It's essentially £33/head for ingredients test potentially they could make a complete hash of (as it happens they didn't, but it's not inconceivable)

Agree Aaron and Britney were very good and put a lot of effort into it.
Don't understand why they have to wear the awful brownie uniform/garden centre staff outfits though...? Confused

thecatsthecats · 25/02/2022 10:35

A day delegate rate, including generally bacon sandwiches, hot lunch, and afternoon tea and cakes was standardly £35 just a few years back.

I think it's bullshit that Stephanie didn't go when Akshay nailed it - they lost that task the minute she failed to negotiate a higher price. Short of relying on the other team to fuck up badly and need significant refunds, there was nothing they could have done after that point to match the other team's sales.

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 25/02/2022 10:53

Not surprised fop boy has gone. He has been floating about the back for a long time now.

But. After catching part of the ‘negotiation’ with Kat and Steph on the mess tv before I went out, one of them should have gone with Nick. Or both instead. Shocking.

Harpreet and Akeem was a hard watch in that kitchen. He did well to hold his tongue. I’m not sure I would have. 5kg of rice though. Jeezo.

The green and brown hand was inspired 🤣

I wonder if Harpreet’s fired hand will be clutching a 5kg bag of rice?

Love the tv challenges. Roll on next week.

BadHairDayExpert · 25/02/2022 17:32

I assume that was a cooked for you rate cats
It was a bizarre premise.
As to the tours, I thought the museum looked crap but would have liked the track. I would have been unimpressed by 45 minutes, waiting for that lunch.
I would not have found touring the site itself that interesting nor the pit stop. The lunch being nice and on time, with plentiful rice, would have sat down well. The simulator would have been okay, nowt amazing.
I was surprised that there was not a requested refund for the mis-selling of VR. The company who only paid 245, but still thought they should get 49 back, must have really hated the morning or were just playing hardball (if you have been given 300 but insist you are broke, you are out to prove something. Maybe the men were just being more competitive than the women, who had picked up on the VR, but let it go).

BadHairDayExpert · 25/02/2022 17:35

I was surprised that Shugs laid into Kathryn as much as he did. I am not her biggest fan, but she seems the best out of a bad bunch...at least as far as promotion and presentation go.

Who do I think will reach the final?
Kathryn, Stef and Aaron.

DrSbaitso · 25/02/2022 17:41

What's this green and brown hand? I missed that.

MichaelAndEagle · 25/02/2022 18:11

It was on 'you're fired' on BBC 2. They get a hand statue thing as a gift, and it was green and brown especially.

Italiangreyhound · 25/02/2022 18:38

BadHairDayExpert

"I was surprised that Shugs laid into Kathryn as much as he did."

Yes me too . I agree she seems the best out of them and could win

Unless he will say no winners this year he will have to pick someone I can't be Akeem and Brittney 's idea of not great.
