It's so easy for people to judge when you do not understand the hell people are going through.

People who are saying she is a shit mum are really low, it is the lowest thing you can say about a mother. She is obviously doing her absolute best despite her difficulties. And even if a mother does not live with her children all the time, does that make her a shit mum? I don't think so.

I believe she is chasing the 'happy family life' over and over again, for her own and her kids' benefit, which is good. But it is why she gets into new relationships quickly, because she believes in the dream too easily. THIS one will work. THIS one will make it all alright. THIS one will create the happy family life. And it never does.

I think she's obviously got issues to work out in therapy (don't we all) but I also think in her heart she is intensely devoted to her children and giving them the absolute best life possible. I think she is incredibly brave and strong and I hope she can go through therapy that genuinely helps her grow.

I feel uncomfortable posting this as it's a rather intrusive thing to say, but I think it's miles better than calling her a 'shit mum'.

Four of her kids haven't lived with her for nearly two years. Her kids love her but that doesn't make her an amazing mum.

Well she has been an amazing single mum to Harvey. In recent years she clearly has had mental health issues so has struggled in her parenting role. It does not mean she is a bad mum.

Having mental health issues is a horrible place to be. If she had physical illnesses and had her children taken away I'm sure you would have a lot more sympathy
I’m sure you’d have a lot less sympathy if she’d killed your kids when driving whilst off her face on drugs despite her numerous driving bans.

I’m also sure you’d have a lot less sympathy if you’d been the mum she was harassing in front of small children so badly that there’s a restraining order in place.

Plus it’s not like these behaviours are new. She has had years to get treatment for her issues and unlike many others, in the past, the time and money to do so (unlike the millions of other people with mental health issues who still manage to be decent parents).

Exactly. Kieron the guy who cheated on her with her Nanny and also best friend whilst she was heavily pregnant. No wonder she is struggling mentally. Her mother is also terminally ill.

To be honest I have thought she wasn't a good mother right from when she split up from PA. this was even before she had mental health issues. I do feel sorry for her with that and hope she sorts herself out and finds happiness. But you must admit many of the situations she finds herself in are of her own making. She makes the same mistakes again and again.

I have no doubt she loves her children. I think she tries to do the best for Harvey, no doubt about that. But I think what makes her not a good mother is that she constantly puts herself first without things of the consequences of her actions for her children. I have no doubt she wants the fairy tale ending but she seeks that with no thought for her children and blatantly seeks the wrong men. It's pretty bloody obvious they are going to be the wrong men, she marries them after 5 minutes and then finds out what they are really like. It's pretty unlikely it's going to work out when you marry someone after 5 minutes. So yet again her kids go through another breakup, another public spat and another drama.

I feel if she was looking out for her children she would take it slowly, get to know them, wait for them to move in, wait to introduce him to her children. There are many threads on here where people are saying introduce a new partner after 12/18 months is too soon. What about the kids? Yet she's married and pregnant in that time.

The public spats and reveal all's of her sex life and slagging off ex's and ex's new girlfriends on Twitter. All of which her children can read and her children's mates will read. If she wanted to protect them she should stop making everything so public. She uses each of her unfortunate circumstances to her advantage make money by reveal all interviews and posts on Twitter under the guise of being honest. I would have more respect and sympathy for her if she just kept her private life private and concentrated on her businesses. That's why she gets so much stick.

You mean Saint Pete? Another one who cheated on her with one of her mates )allegedly) and then accused her of cheating? He ghosted her and never gave her closure on the marriage. She had to speak through lawyers and his PA. She seems to get the blame for everything and the men are presented as good people. Again no wonder she went off the rails a bit after Pete left her.

Have you seen the episode where his PR assistant pops around the house announced? Katie is ill in hospital. Pete is in just a towel as is Katie's best friend. Pete looks shocked to see his PR assistant. He later went on to date Katie's best friend... Also another episode where he is truly rude to her and a member of staff. It's when they were in America.

He was actually the rude one. He just had a very good PR team after they split.

That is very little to do with her. Those kids have spent the vast majority of their lives being brought up by their fathers. Katie has barely been there, and even then, more taken up with endless hair and beauty treatments than paying them much attention. She has proudly boasted that she lets them be feral.
Peter sued Katie for accusing him of having had an affair and he won. She later admitted she was wrong and had to pay him off - which he put into a trust fund for Harvey.

She does NOT "share" custody. The younger four children all live full-time with their father and whereas she used to see them some weekends, since the alleged DV incident last summer, she has barely seen them at all and never when Carl is around. Draw your own conclusions as to why that is. She releases photographs at intervals to imply the children are with her when they're not. For a start, half the time she lives many miles away from their schools and is not supposed to be driving these days so has no way of getting them there.

He and Katie's friend are both in towels and look very shifty....Pete is talking very fast. I would be questioning things if I found my husband like this.

Well I have seen episodes where it's the opposite. Let's just say it's clear by the end the marriage was pretty toxic. It's a shame as I thought they made a good couple and were clearly very much in love at the start.

To me this was the beginning of a very downward spiral for KP whereas PA Went on to get married and have a stable, long lasting relationship with someone else.

It's strange how people are saying someone is a good mum who when having MH problems choses to turn to drugs and drink and then gets in a car, 6 times. Not just one mistake. 6 times when they could have killed themselves or someone else leaving their young children motherless.

They are also still a good mum when they have relationship after relationship with random men who they marry and get pregnant with after 5 mins. Which results in high profile scraps over the media. Is this because KP is a celebrity? Because I have read many posts on here where the OP has been slated for wanting to introduce a new boyfriend/allow her boyfriend to put the kids to bed/move in with her boyfriend after 12/18 months and people saying it's too soon, think of the children. Whereas it's fine for KP to be married and pregnant with some random cage fighter/stripper in that time.

But yes some people who do have breakdowns do impulsive, stupid things. Everyone reacts differently in a mental health situation. She shouldn't have been drunk driving. Good she went to Priory. I really hope it has helped her and got her well again.

Are you thinking of another Katie Price? The bits she lets us see where she is with her dc and being loving. What about when she is off on holiday without them constantly, where she is driving so far under the influence she flips her car (I read on the way to get more drugs), where she is bringing new men into their lives after 5 minutes?

A good mum would not do these kinds of things
