When a terrorist campaign threatens the capital over the summer, bomb disposal experts Lana Washington (Vicky McClure) and Joel Nutkins (Adrian Lester) are at the forefront of urgent efforts.

They discover a potiental bomb factory in a London housing estate

( whispers but is filmed near to blondesland)

Looks good

Love both Vicky and Adrian as actors

It's odd. I feel like there's been no character building and I'm not sure where everyone fits into it. Was that her Brother in the pub? How did he seem to know everyone?

I feel like some pages of the script went missing and they hoped we wouldn't notice.

Does she not get time off after her work partner is killed and her hearing is likely affected?

Even so, it's miles better than Vigil though my view on that is coloured by having been on a nuclear sub and finding it very unconvincing!

Yes, surely she'd be signed off. Not put back on the job diffusing bombs only a few days after she saw her work colleague blown to pieces.

I keep thinking it's surely got to improve!

Who is Phelan? Who is targeting him? The IRA (Irish sounding surname)? Are we just expected to know what's going on without the gaps being filled in?

Finding it all really odd.
Not feeling any chemistry between Lana and detective boyfriend; is he married?
Lama’s hair is annoying me
Their staff/ rest room seems very bleak
Just seems to be various random male colleagues; no idea who they are, and how they fit in
Doesn’t seem to be any background or development of any characters

But I will keep watching!!!

It feels like someone's first screenplay which is exactly what it is. It's not bad, it's just very predictable and going for the cliffhanger every episode.
Almost a shame it's attracted the names of Jed and Vicki to it imo because there's an expectation that it can't live up to.
I'm only watching it cos of Vicki M and she's not really stretching her acting muscles in this at all. But I'll still watch it.

I think somebody answered this about taking the helmet and glasses off last week so hopefully they're still around to remind us!

The forensics woman who was sat next to Lana and then in the warehouse. She's a comedian and I don't know her name in the programme Confused

Realmayowitheggs told us earlier in the thread. "Bomb squad do take off their helmets. It’s to make sure they don’t catch or knock anything. Basically, if a bomb goes off, a helmet won’t save you."

Thought Lana’s entire family being at the funeral and wake was odd. My money is on either the ginger fella who is now not the senior or one of the ex-army being behind it. The brother is somehow mixed up in it too I reckon.

The boyfriend needs to fuck off.

Lana needs to turn her fan off before leaving her flat given the new price of electricity nowadays 😂

Yes I'm also confused why her whole family went to the funeral and her ? brother was having selfies with some of the ? army gang but then apparently didn't know them. A few people commented on him being "mardy" perhaps it will turn out that he's so mardy he's been setting bombs???
I don't think she goes with Thom, think she'll be very annoyed at him shouting her to get out.
I was a bit concerned when she went outside the.pub with Carl, when she didn't know him.
I will probably watch again but I wouldn't say I love it. Perhaps it will pick up next week!

Yy to all the queries posters are raising....its so stilted. But now me and OH are invested and will have to watch the whole series. Also think its her brother or the failed-expo-turned-mechanic guy
