Which means we don’t discuss an episode till it’s been on tv

After that it’s fair game

Anyway

When a terrorist campaign threatens the capital over the summer, bomb disposal experts Lana Washington (Vicky McClure) and Joel Nutkins (Adrian Lester) are at the forefront of urgent efforts.

They discover a potiental bomb factory in a London housing estate

( whispers but is filmed near to blondesland)

Looks good

Love both Vicky and Adrian as actors

I rewound and stopped it on the locked frame. It had John crossed out and said ‘knob’ or ‘knob’ which I think is Nabil? The guy who was ‘Gary’ in only fools and horses?

TweeBee · 06/02/2022 22:52

I thought this was a good episode. The sniper situation was very tense and it was very good (well bad really, you know what I mean!) when the sniper snuck out in police gear. But does that mean he's a police officer or could it be fancy dress?
I think it was John's locker, I believe he's the one with ginger hair who doesn't like Lana being in charge and keeps telling her to put the kettle on. However I think it will turn out that he has an idea who the inside person is and is working that out, rather than being stupid enough to plot out his bombs in the A to Z and leave it some sort of police station!

WeAreTheHeroes · 06/02/2022 22:58

John is not going to be the insider in the far right group, unless he's working undercover. Far too obvious. My money's on Karl and they're setting up Lana's brother to be involved with the Crusaders.

the80sweregreat · 07/02/2022 06:22

Could be Billy doing all this?
Although , again , too obvious?
Could be any of them , but I also agree that leaving evidence in your locker is a rookie error unless they are on to someone too and do not want Lana involved?

the80sweregreat · 07/02/2022 06:29

I think of the word ' trigger ' as being something that starts you feeling uneasy or remembering bad times in your life by seeing it or reading about it ( as well as being on a gun , for example)
Which brings me back to Karl and the reason he left his job ?
I felt uneasy when he was taking Lana to that snooker club , it was a place that was out the way too and I think we will see it again but not in a good way ! ( not a spoiler , just a feeling )
I'm always wrong with these things though. )

CharacterForming · 07/02/2022 08:05

I'm sticking with it mostly because I like a drama at 9pm on a Sunday, and I like the Shrine podcast - though even they're a bit lukewarm on it and it's literally their job to be enthusiastic.

Torn on whether Thom will be a wrong-un but on balance I think she'll fall for Mr Lime and Soda who will turn out to be on the lime and sodas either because he can't ever afford to let his guard down and reveal that he's a far right terrorist mastermind or secretly a Muslim convert jihadist playing a complicated double game (the latter is unlikely I suspect for political reasons but would be a good twist considered in the abstract).

TweeBee · 07/02/2022 09:31

@the80sweregreat Good point about the word trigger.
I'm embarrassed to ask, but who's Billy? Is it the brother?

the80sweregreat · 07/02/2022 09:51

Lana's brother living in the dirty flat, I think she called him Billy ?
He is obviously being brainwashed , but could just be another red herring ?
There are so many different men around I have lost track a bit.

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/02/2022 10:37

@CharacterForming shrine are —taking the piss— doing a podcast on trigger. Didn’t reliese that

Does that Asian woman officer really need her handbag when she's in the field? She looks like the queen carrying a clutch for no reason.

WeAreTheHeroes · 08/02/2022 07:26

I never even noticed that.

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/02/2022 14:12

the80sweregreat · 13/02/2022 21:21

😂 Yep, I'm desperately trying to remember what is going on.
I think that Billy is probably dead and this guy ( can't remember names ) she is meeting for a coffee now ( snooker one) is a bit dodgy too as is her boyfriend!

Jellykat · 13/02/2022 21:32

Agree, Karl and Tom dodgy as fuck..

the80sweregreat · 13/02/2022 21:46
