I was not expecting that last night!

SpinningTheSeedsOfLove · 26/02/2022 13:48

I imagine your average shower curtain would have a veritable smorgasbord of DNA on it - hair (from the root), skin particles and possibly some bodily fluids, especially caught in the seam at the bottom.

How exciting, for a change!

iknowimcoming · 26/02/2022 13:56

Presumably the fact that Tina didn't actually leave the square (which was what Gray told Shirley) will make the police at least suspicious of Gray as the last person to have seen her alive? Will Tina's death bring Linda back to the square I wonder - can't remember when she went on ML now?

Mind you the police seem to work in mysterious ways in Walford - I still don't get why the police have enough to put Phil away for life yet still let him out for a whileConfused I mean it's not like he (or the rest of his family) have form for absconding is it Hmm

I wonder if they'll send Gray daaan or kill him off? I'd quite like to see Karen 'accidently' stand on his oxygen tube or whatever when she finds out the truth and I guess if he died Chelsea would get his house? I've no idea what happens to property when someone goes to prison - I'm off to Google that!

SoupDragon · 26/02/2022 14:03

I don't get that either - why did they need to arrest him for affray in order to bring him in?

the80sweregreat · 26/02/2022 15:08

I think that the statements the police have against Phil will be redacted somehow ( not sure how exactly) and he'll be back in a few months time.
Either that or months of Kat and Ben visiting him in prison or trying to find a way to get him off the charges. Will the Irish villain make a come back ? Maybe someone will threaten him or the ones involved with Vincent's demise will get him off ? I can't remember what happened exactly anyway , so could be wrong and this is the last we see of him ?

suzyscat · 26/02/2022 15:33

Oooh just caught up.

The affray thing is weird, you can't up the stakes on back to back life sentences, but I suppose it brought things to a head.

Loved Phil scaring off the bullies, note the cheeky wink to Tommy after they fled. He wasn't about to commit GBH. It was what he was saying to Ben about being in control.

So glad Tina has finally been found.

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/02/2022 16:29

Or Vincent will return

Isn’t that the murder Phil is going doooooooooooown for

It seems that EE is on Monday, Thursday (x2) and Friday next week because of football.

SoupDragon · 26/02/2022 16:37

Phil is goin' daaaaaaahn for Vincent's murder, yes. I think it might just be "conspiracy to murder" or something rather than the actual killing though.

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/02/2022 16:37

Yep. Bloody football

There's video of a shooting but was Vincent's body found and formally ID'd ? Can you be charged with murder/conspiracy to murder from bideo evidence that might not be 100% legitimate , just because you have form?

(Not a lawyer BTW . Don't think any of the EE writers have any legal qualifications exept watching Judge Rinder !)

Meredusoleil · 26/02/2022 17:37

Yes, I've always wondered how you can get done for murder or anything related to murder if there is no actual dead body!

lazymum99 · 26/02/2022 17:55

Can someone explain why she arrested Phil for affray? When did that happen? It doesn’t carry a very heavy sentence

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/02/2022 18:03

I'm guessing the bullies who went after Tommy - there was a girl with them. Maybe she phoned the Police and said Phil was attacking the boys (who would be minors) with an iron bar . But as there was no physical attack it would be an affray .
I didn't see her in the Argy Bargy , maybe she was lookout .

SoupDragon · 26/02/2022 18:07

I don't think Vincent's body was ever found so I'm not sure how they can be prosecuting Phil for anything. Although I guess you can inspire to murder without actually killing someone. No idea how this works because I am a law biding citizen and don't live on Albert Square 😂

SoupDragon · 26/02/2022 18:11

Maybe their evidence to send Phil down is actually not anywhere near as good as they are making out. It's the only reason I can think of for them to go for something more certain like affray.

Yes that's what I was thinking too. Maybe this 'deal' to get him to turn informant like Vincent was is just a ruse and they haven't got enough on him to send him down for life after all 🤔
SoupDragon · 26/02/2022 20:11

Richie seemed convinced though. Do they have to share their evidence with her?

I've always had a feeling Karen would end up in there if Gray dies, as EE does like a changes of fortunes (well materially anyway) but I can't see her wanting to live there now after what happened to Chantelle. Same with Chelsea, as much as she would love a big house, it has bad memories for her. I'm guessing a new family moves in.

I think Mick might take revenge on Gray if he doesn't go down. I think they will work it out based on Gray's sightings not adding up, as surely post mortem would reveal she died over a year ago.

Why hasn't Whitney suspected Gray pushing Kush on the tracks knowing what he is capable of?

SoupDragon · 27/02/2022 14:53

Gray also used her card to withdraw money didn't he? I thought they all had CCTV on the machines so maybe the police would request that from the bank once the body and time of death is identified.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 27/02/2022 15:18

Why hasn't Whitney suspected Gray pushing Kush on the tracks knowing what he is capable of ?

Yes she must suspect him.
Though I just watched it again, Gray falls onto the track , Kush drags him back to safety then as Gray lies on the platform with his Face On, he gets up unsteadily .
We can see he pushes him but depending on the angle of CCTV (and non working cameras though I'm 100% sure the train would have a camera in the drivers cab) he could claim he was disorientated and stumbled ?

It is weird in a city like London where there are cameras everywhere they've not found any of :

Gray pushes Kush
Gray uses Tina's card
Gray's car with the offending shower curtain
Gray going into the Argy Bargy with Tina
The 'sightings' of Tina

SoupDragon · 27/02/2022 15:25

The police haven't been looking for Tina really so I can understand why they haven't found anything. They didn't want to know then but once the body is identified (I assume it is indeed Tina!) thing would change. They wouldn't have looked for CCTV on the Argy Bhaji for example but they might look now.

He might get away with Kush though as the CCTV was "broken"

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 27/02/2022 17:07

Mmm now the body is unearthed the Police might start searching up the CCTV
Someone must have DashCam footage or CCTV on all the businesses in The Square (and recognise the horrible shower curtain- half the Square seemed to flit in and out of Gray's house and use his bathroom )

Akire · 27/02/2022 17:40

Just caught last 2 up. The affray was reported by who? Phil calls police I’ve found a body the someone says I saw him threaten kids? Hope Grey just doesn’t die and gets out of it, loving the Chelsey throwing food around hopefully she will see the light.

Phils living looked underwater it was so blue and dark honestly set designed should be sacked.

XenoBitch · 28/02/2022 00:24

I like to make things, and every time I have seen the dead Tina hand, I can't help but think I could have done better with some rolled up cardboard and tissue.
Let us hope Grey's uppance will come. The week to come will be interesting.
