Am I the only one who thinks that Henry Cavill is the most perfect example of a perfect man alive today?!🥰🥰😋😋🤣🤣

In The Witcher, absolutely.

I’m not attracted to him at all in anything else.

HelenaRavenclaw · 18/12/2021 16:30

I fell for him hopelessly after seeing him in Enola Holmes last year...that in fact led me to the Witcher to satisfy my Cavill cravings. I wonder if this thread will be more of a Henry Cavill appreciation thread rather than a Witcher show discussion thread! Grin

NandorTheRelentless · 18/12/2021 16:31

Well I certainly didn't pause at the bath scene

AllThingsServeTheBeam · 18/12/2021 16:31

Only as the Witcher. Not remotely attracted to him as himself or any one else he plays

NandorTheRelentless · 18/12/2021 16:31

I am aware its all a bit "well you wouldn't like it the other way round" and that's true

StormBaby · 18/12/2021 16:31

I only like him in The Witcher too

blobby10 · 18/12/2021 16:55

Although I’d seen him as superman and admired the dedication he must have to be able to obtain such a well Toned body (😊😊) it wasn’t until I saw him in Enola holmes that i suddenly wanted to watch The Witcher! I tried the first season earlier in the year but couldn’t get into it but eldest DS is now watching season 2 and I’m getting into it 😁😁

I only like him in the Witcher, basically because it doesn’t require much acting (which he can’t really do).

I’m on episode 3 and bored waiting for Yen’s powers to return and all the weird Elf shit.

ToughTittyWhompus · 18/12/2021 17:42

Henry is playing Geralt because he’s a huge gaming nerd who has also read the books. I’m watching the show because I’ve read the books and played the game and am a fan of the fantasy genre in general.

If you’re watching to just drool over Henry, and aren’t aware of the games/books, then The Witcher isn’t the place to do that.

LBOCS2 · 18/12/2021 22:07

Oh, I don't know. I feel that this has a lot of truth in it...

I'm enjoying the storyline, am I allowed to do that?
OhThatChicken · 18/12/2021 22:31

No @ToughTittyWhompus you're not allowed because the gaming gatekeepers have spoken!

For what it's worth I've played the games and just finished season two and loved every minute of it AND (shockingly) see the attraction of Cavill - although personally my favourites are Jaskier and Yen.

That said, next time I name change I'm going to become LawfulGoodWaterBiscuit. Love it!

VioletRose91 · 18/12/2021 22:33

He’s so hot. I’ve had a crush on him since he was in immortals 🔥

Haha did you mean to tag me?

I’ve read the books years ago and played the games.

Still think that The Witcher is very much the place to drool over Henry Cavill.

What hilariously odd gatekeeping!

jaundicedoutlook · 18/12/2021 23:01

Ew, no.

DH has been watching this and, I have to say, it’s total cobblers.

Are we meant to believe that all these wizards, who can seemingly teleport themselves over vast distances and fire off all sorts of nasty spells, all just sit there slack jawed and watch whilst the dark haired witch piece cuts through some prisoner’s chains, runs off knocking over a torch and some wood, then escapes with the prisoner on a horse? Come on! I know realism isn’t the number one priority here, but seriously…!

ToughTittyWhompus · 18/12/2021 23:09

@Thatsplentyjack He’s stated it in numerous interviews. What a stupid fucking comment.

I read the books long before I discovered the game (I’ve bolted played the 3rd).

If you don’t enjoy the genre in general then it’s a shit thing to watch, I wouldn’t watch a Horror series no matter who was in it because I can’t stand it.

Well that's pretty self limiting isn't it.

So people can't discover new things?

I've never read any of the books and only played one of the games, does that mean in your view I'm not allowed to watch The Witcher even though I'm enjoying it?

ToughTittyWhompus · 18/12/2021 23:29

@NandorTheRelentless yes because the only two genres do exist are Horror and Fantasy Hmm

Most of the comments on the first Witcher season went the same way - only watching because they fancies Henry whilst disliking the genre, meaning loads of bitching and no discussion of the actual subject matter.

Pretty much like this one.

NandorTheRelentless · 18/12/2021 23:36

I actually love fantasy well done - loved game of thrones until the last season.

But... you are not the gatekeeper of the witcher, or any other genre. What have you added to the conversation apart from sneering against people that isn't be watching mainly because of the cast. I can't imagine HC is concerned why people are watching.

NandorTheRelentless · 18/12/2021 23:37

Maybe you should try a different type of forum for the types of conversation you want ?

Maybe www.reddit.com/r/witcher?

ToughTittyWhompus · 18/12/2021 23:42

You mean other than the specific Telly Addicts board? Urgh

NandorTheRelentless · 18/12/2021 23:45

We are discussing the TV show, however just not in the way you want
