Oh no I'm really torn now as to who I want to win. I was very much in the AJ camp, I'm not overly keen on either Rose or John. I do think something disastrous will have to happen in one of Rose's dances for her not to win tho.

Oh god, I do hope we don't get Neil and Diane too much in the final as part of the filler. It would be nice to see some of the other professionals for a change.

What does Kai mean, " I am sending her all my love and best wishes for a quick recovery"?!?!?! I was consoling myself with the thought that at least they could be tucked up together somewhere with her feet on satin cushions and him feeding her grapes!

I didn't realise the injury wasn't a sudden accident -- I'm not in the UK (and work's insane this week) so haven't got to see her interviews...

Ahhh. Such a shame. I hope we get to see her "complete her journey" another time.

Having dealt with this unfortunate hiccup, the main focus of the production team now will absolutely be Saturday’s final, promoting the two couples still able to compete in it, and then promoting their winners (coughRosecough) once that is over, and anything that may pull attention from their communication strategy will be dissuaded, I am sure.

So I am fairly sure AJ and Kai will have been working with the BBC team as to what they will and won’t/can and can’t say in their personal statements this week until such point as the show is finished and they are back to being free agents. That’s certainly my take on this, anyway.

Such a shame to hear about her injury, really like AJ and of course absolutely love watching Kai dance! What a dancer he is!
I am sure Rose and Giovanni are going to win anyway, and it’s much deserved.
However I am delighted for John and Johannes that they are in the final, they are my wee 88 year old mums favourites, every week she says I can’t watch Sunday in case the boys get put out!

Chris Hollins and Ricky Whittle was also a two couple final, wasn't it? Didn't they each do three dances, plus the lindy hop-athon, where RW made a pig's ear of lifting Natalie?

The BBC could always just shorten the show. They often rearrange the schedule to accommodate last minute changes - sporting events, covid briefings etc.

I think it's pretty obvious Rose will win. She's been favourite from the start and now it's just down to 2 dancers it takes away any possible doubt. As much as I like watching Rose and Gio dance I don't think it's going to be a particularly exciting final.

Aw, thanks for my flowers. No, I have just got the lurgy. My PCR test was negative and two lat tests this week also negative. I almost wish it was positive, so I would have an excuse to feel so sorry for myself and a reason to feel like death warmed up!

Gio's big prop better be awesome and better not be a huge rose, the Bette Midler song is twee enough.

I agree with this. I love their partnership and I love Gio (yummy) but I’ve never felt particularly impressed or amused by their dances.

I find J&J much more interesting to watch.

AJ bought the WOW factor and I think Saturday night is going to be lacking in the entertainment factor now that she won’t be there.

I've been a bit apprehensive ever since Gio mentioned a big prop on the results show. I hope it's not going to involve a load of bollocky faffing abaht I'd much rather watch a proper full on dance from start to finish.
