Is it worth seeing? Not v keen on Ansel Elgort.

A friend of mine went to see West Side Story yesterday and utterly and completely loved it. I've only seen the trailer so far and said to her, "I know it's almost sacrilegious to say it, but it's better than the original isn't it?" and she replied in the affirmative. I can't wait to see it.

My dis is still gruntled today about the marking. It was as though everyone had lost any paddle that wasn't a 9 or a 10 and frankly there should have been a few more 8s in there.

Liverpool won again though, so there was that.

Yes it was...the only thing that surprised me was that it is better looking and better filmed, but the difference from the original isn't so huge as to make a remake essential

I love West Side Story - the choreo stands up today. Had lunch with friends and we have said we will go to see the new film.

Love west side story so bit scared to see new one as it might turn out to be as rubbish as the remake of A star is born , (lady gaga is no Barbara Streisand)
Anyhoo loved last night but if someone has to go hope it’s Reis and Nancy.

I can't watch live so I'll be getting the results as soon as possible. I'd like John to leave and Rhys to stay because Rhys has found his stride and has been improving - I don't think John has made much real progress. Interesting that James Jordan would have given the CC an 8.

I think it will be Rhys and John in the DO. Not because they weren’t good, but just because AJ and Rose were fab.

I like Rhys, but I think it’s his turn to go.

I think Rose will ultimately win.

I’m going to miss seeing Gio on a Saturday night when all this is over.

Interestingly, both versions have 93% audience ratings on Rotten Tomatoes which I find is a good rule of thumb.

It has to be Rhys doesn’t it? The stats don’t add up otherwise, I don’t think it’s possible to get enough votes from the public to avoid the DO. I don’t think th judges would save him over anyone tbh

Just love Gio and Rose’s relationship, I think he really admires her but also he’s not used to having comments like Rose comes away with like when he said we have to get up very close for the tango and Rose then looked at him and said …“ stinky breath”

He looked so shocked and then he just cracked up! he’s probably so used to being fussed over by females that he’s always surprised by her, it’s v funny! And probably good for him!
