AJ and Kai are dancing rumba and quickstep. Rose and Gio - Argentine tango and waltz. J&J - couples choice and jive. Rhys and Nancy - tango and samba.

I think it's unfair J&J have CC, as they could dance any which way and the judges tend to mark up. Other couples will be judged on proper (for want of a better word!) dances with established steps as a criteria for marking. I appreciate others have already done CC but not at such a critical stage of the competition Hmm

I don't remember Tom's CC being 'marked up'; in fact, I remember clearly though that CC was his final dance and then we waved him goodbye.

I have watched Dan and Nadiya's interview on ITT and still don't see any hint of an emotional affair.

They clearly share a close bond but I think Nadiya is just grateful for his genuine friendship and respect for her and her work.

I've said before that I've never seen Nadiya so animated and smiling in any of her partnerships from Strictly, than she has been with Dan. That is the real Nadiya, not the sizzling, sexy, seductive Playboy model, don't ya know, that she is being sold as.

The media seem to want to push for some sort of Strictly scandal and people see what they want to see even if it's not there.

I've not heard her say that she didn't feel safe with them, but clearly Dan was very kind and respectful. She joined the family for curry nights in Sheffield and clearly embraced the warmth of South Yorkshire!

Re : Couples choice, is it generally meant to be focused on the celeb? I might be wrong but when John was talking about it on the results show he seemed to be saying they're dancing to Hometown Glory and it's paying homage to Johannes' hometown etc growing up? Did I mishear or was that the jist?

Nadiya did very well with Dan and you'd have to be blind not to notice how stunning she is but as a pp said, he was very sedate/benign/awkward/asexual around her, even with tango/rumba

Piers was trolling cos that's what he does. His ego couldn't take being on Strictly (same as Chris Evans I suspect) as I doubt he'd last long.

I think she probably meant safe dancing with him — if somebody has a nice frame and doesn't fling you about or tread on your feet, but feels like they'd keep you upright if you trip I'd describe that at feeling safe.

Tbh every week on here when Nadiya appears there's always loads of comments about how gorgeous she is. Scroll back if you want to see my sarcastic comments because I've never really got it. I thought it was just English people thinking a slim woman with blonde hair was amazing but she looked like an actual supermodel on ITT on Monday so I take it back. And they were also so cute together.

What would worry me if I was a partner of one of the contestants is that during ovulation you give off a certain scent which is really seductive. How do you cope if your partner is gorgeous and draping their legs all over you?! 😬😬

I have always warmed to Nadiya.

She’s got a dd and is engaged to her her parter and I’m sure when she does SCD her family are not in the UK, so that must be tough.

She very rarely posts a picture of her DD on social media (Insta) and if she does, it isn’t her face/identity. She always gushes about how much she loves her.

I think she sees SCD as a job, it earns money post professional competitions and she goes back to her home life afterwards.

As PP said she’s had some shit dance partners in the past and has probably been welcomed in to the Walkers - they have the same values (solid partnership, children, doesn’t make kids a cash cow) and she has really enjoyed that side of things, and the friendship.

She also doesn’t do the shows that some of the professionals do post SCD (although I have seen her on SCD live) which to me implies she goes back to her home town.

Remembering the cringeworthy scenes with janette and Karen when they used to open the phone lines before Covid! Can't imagine Nadiya behaving like this she's soooo cool !
