Child abuse/sexual abuse is a really lazy option for soap writers and where once they would have done it sensitively and raised awareness for how to get support, that’s not what happens anymore. Nowadays it’s literally just a viewer figure tool. They don’t do these stories sensitively at all. They’re salacious and unrealistic.

Exactly. They are never done well and they cause a lot of actual pain and set back in recovery. Thanks for your reply. I was thinking I was being a bit ridiculous but it is very real for me and I should accept my feelings are as valid as anyone else's.
