@SequinsandStiIettos Santa Maria is one of my favourite Tango pieces and that scene from Shall We Dance is one of my favourite movie scenes, despite the whole movie being a giant cheese-fest!

La Revancha del Tango by Gotan Project came out in 2001, so surely that counts Wink

I do love Santa Maria and most people will recognise “Epoca” from an ad campaign, though for the life of me I can’t remember what it was for Blush Grin

Just watched the hidden mic video and actually I have totally fallen in love with Nikita this weekend (in a platonic way) the way he said to Tilly 'you're Shakira' was so adorable! Taking off his shirt to make her laugh and enjoy her final dance was very sweet. Some of the pro dancers are a bit forgettable but he really has a great personality and I hope he stays in and gets a partner next year.
I loved Nikita saying "You're Shakira" to Tilly and it seems to have done her self confidence wonders.

He introduced himself as cheeky and sassy, which he has definitely proven to be. I hope they renew his contract for next year.

The music is by the same group (Gotan Project) that composed the piece being used by Dan and Nadiya for their Tango this week.

I just referenced that people might be more familiar with the group via the ad campaign, though I couldn’t remember what it was for 🤣

Can people really make themselves cry (apart from trained actors maybe) ? I rarely cry at anything, pretty sure I couldn't force out tears at will. I tend to assume people are truly feeling emotional if they are crying - but maybe I'm just naive ?

Loving the new pros this season Nikita and Kai (DD calls him 'that Channing Tatum bloke' - but not sure I see it)

I can make myself cry but then I cry very very easily.

I wasn't sure about Nikita at first but now really like him. Also I thought at first when he took his shirt off it was all about showing off but once I realised it wasn't I found it funny

Nope, I made reference to poster ossicle familiar with the song used in the advert as it is by the same group who composed the piece that Dan and Nadiya are dancing to. I mentioned that it was used in an advert but couldn’t remember which one and Sequins kindly found it!

Am watching ITT with Gorka doing an overview of his time on Strictly. He was very emotional about meeting Gemma and having Mia.

Its sweet, as sometimes he comes across quite bullish.

Not bad at all, had forgotten some of partners too. But also that he has both been on the show a while but not, if that makes sense. Did he miss a coupe of years or sit some out?

And was interesting that he mentioned he kept in touch with Katy Piper and I inferred from that, that he didn't with other partners.

Not seen much of ITT, would watch other retrospectives.

And I liked Jeanette's trouser suit but not Kimberly's who is someone I like a lot.
