Come dine with me. I love it. The guy doing the voice over, the houses, different people. All of it.
I’ve completed all the ones on Netflix Grin

@ShineBrightly best of luck Flowers

@SapatSea I watch North and South when I’m feeling low. Richard Armitage’s slow smile makes me week at the knees

Doomscrolling North and South is just so restful. I love the scenes in the factory with all the cotton fibres floating around like snow - shocking "I have seen hell and it is white" but beautiful. My only dislike is near the start when John Thornton beats up the worker - John Thornton would NOT do that!!! (and doesn't in the book). RA is perfect in the role. Daniela Denby Ashe is also good as Margaret but just doesn't look or move at all how she is described in the book which I find jars a bit for me.

Not againTuesday I recently binge watched Alma's Not Normal - just superb. The penultimate episode made me both laugh and cry. Superb writing and exceptional cast. I always thought that Siobhan Finneran and Lorraine Ashbourne look like sisters and here they are playing mother and daughter.

Happily discovered masterchef professionals is in a new series and several episodes in (had no idea). That will be my catch up viewing for a bit !

Anyone who’s mentioned North and South — where it it available to watch? I don’t have access to the BBC iPlayer.

Oh yes, North and South - swoon - I have it on a old-school DVD @JadeTrinket!

The old Pride and Predjudice, Channel 5 Christmas films at the moment and Landscape Artist of the Year repeats.

I think you can watch it on Amazon Prime or Dailymotion (free) may have it. I have an old DVD copy that I uploaded onto my laptop a long time ago.

I love the Gaskell novel, but never saw any of the TV adaptation. Thanks, all — will try to track it down.

@arootintootingoodtime, I seem to find Landscape Artist less engaging than Portrait Artist, but maybe I should give it more time…
