Martin lives with Sharon Zack and now 2 kids in tiny 2 bed flat. She has move into slater towers. Can’t see SS approving it when so over crowded mind you let Kat have scarlet!

Yes, it was a classic "blink and you'll miss it" throwaway comment by Kat shortly after lockdown. She said she'd given her back to Hayley and that was it. Never mentioned again!

Yes it's hideous. Also, In real life people tend to add to the room rather than a full blown makeover with 20,cushions or maybe that's just me

What I don't get about this whole Dotty/Rocky scam is that when he first came on the scene, Dotty just wanted to get 'her' inheritance off Sonia because she thought she was entitled to it and it was hers. Now Sandra is back on the scene, its all about how Dotty needs the money for her mum's rehab. But that was never the plan! Why don't they just tell Sonia the truth and ask for her to give more money ffs?!?

The housing situation on EE never really makes sense. It’s supposed to be set in a fictional borough next to the area I live in. Rentals here start at about £1500 for a 1 bed but there are characters on EE who don’t work or appear to have any income yet live in terraced houses that would cost around twice that to rent. No-one ever talks about claiming benefits and if they are struggling all is resolved by doin’ a few shifts at the pub/cab office/car lot/fish and chip shop.

Naturally no one can work outside of Albert Square unless it involves a job on the other side of the world and you can only leave in a Black Cab.

Phil owns his house and so does Ian ( which is why Kathy and Peter can live there I suppose ) , but I agree the others would not be living there at all in real life due to the extortionate rents.
How Gray is now managing to pay his bills is a mystery , unless he had insurance money from Chantelle and paid off his mortgage that way
Living arrangements and money is very vague in general on the square.

Jack owns his place and had to sell on his old flat when he was kicked out of the force.
Jack and Dee , two of the most unlikely people to get married , ever! Plus, does Jack even work now ?
We never see his kids anymore either

I don't think he is. I'm sure he had a default letter from the mortgage company a while back. They'll probably be evicted on Christmas Day during the double wedding 😂

The insurance for Chantelle would have paid his mortgage surely ? She was so young when she died and most people take out life insurance if you have a mortgage don't they ?
Plus he hasn't been out of law that long , so shd have some savings etc. plus the money from burger job.
It's never made clear though!
Agree that the bailiffs might show up Christmas Day .. to add to what will be marriage blues ( not a spoiler , but EE weddings are always a disaster )

I thought these days you had have life insurance for a mortgage. She wasn’t working but assume would apply. As if she died he couldn’t carry on working and caring and paying all bills without a “free” nanny cook house keeper. Saying that just running a nanny basic food and bills and council tax must be huge in the house so no income for few months going hit hard.

My moneys on Sharon having slatter towers. Especially since Phil now wants to help with grandchild. Between 3 of them should be able afford rent and room for Martin have all his kids over
