Just finished this tonight
The legal inaccuracies did annoy: the quick trial, the solicitor advocate doing principal cross examination, the lack of sentencing hearing / any pleas in mitigation. I agree there would have been medical evidence brought in by D’s team at the very least at sentencing.
However I’m pleased they didn’t do any flashback to show what actually did happen, leaves us all guessing, I wouldn’t have convicted Talitha on the evidence if I were on the jury.
And I’m sure it’s more common than we dare to think that the police don’t hand over exculpatory evidence in advance of trial. Often they will pretty much know someone is guilty and fit the evidence in the best way to achieve a conviction , the justification being that the baddies get put away.
