Next week will be interesting. Sara's q/s might be nice, but 9–5 theming is probably going to be annoying. AJ might be great at the Charleston, or her Bambi legs might re-appear. I hope Jojo gets his choreographical mojo back, I haven't really got properly into their last few dances and rumba is a tricky one!

CaveMUm ref. dancers' feet. your teacher would comment on lovely feet because it must be very difficult to keep your feet 'lovely' and pain free as a ballet dancer on pointe and a professional ballroom/Latin dancer wearing heels all the time it must really rack your feet.

Some of the celebs comment on the pain !! I wouldn't blame them at all. THAT'S why they cry

Only Tilly and Judi have done the waltz. First the Charleston edged out the ballroom dances, then bloody Couple's Choice sealed their fate. The competition is definitely Latin and non-traditional dance heavy now, and the waltz, as perhaps the least showy ballroom dance, seems to be the biggest casualty. I much prefer the ballroom dances to any other type.

We've had lots of Viennese waltzes this series, which I find bizarre since it's the ballroom dance with the least variety!

Prefer the ballroom dances, all my dance over the years have been ballroom.

Stormy I'm hoping there is mesh involved with Tom's paso costume, I was not a fan of the bare chest look on him! They do quite often given them a mesh under the bolero jacket......(she says hopefully).

Oh yes a mesh shirt could work. They've not been as prominent as they have been in previous series

Getting rid of Tunes On Tuesday and Waite's Wednesday Warm-Up was a mistake. They're only halfway through the series and they are struggling to fill ITT. Even if Ian genuinely wanted to quit, they could have drafted in another ex-pro.

That's what I think. They could have got KFG or someone instead. Not fussed about the tunes thing though.

That was a strange item where Janette interviewed three other women pros. Not much gained from that, although I did learn that Luba would like to dance with Michael McIntyre.

Michael McIntyre is very light on his feet.

Interesting about Luba's favourite pro dance not having happened YET! Also the interview with Gilkisson, (sp.) some of the snippets were good. Though I don't know how useful a snippet of ANY dance is especially. an effin' group dance. He CRIED !!!!

The Wikipedia pages for each series are interesting as they show exactly which dances are being quietly dropped. Only 1 Rumba all series, which I’d frankly ridiculous when you consider it’s pretty much the first Latin dance you learn when you start lessons!

Just saw a clip of an interview with Ramps on BBC news (connected to the cricket racism scandal). He was at home with some cricket awards behind and next to him - is it wrong that I was disappointed that the glitterball trophy wasn't there too

Blimey, I couldn't agree more - what's the point of the balls in the vase?.

I don't watch ITT religiously but probably catch it 2-3 time a week and often wonder why I bother. I'm almost always disappointed by it. I wish they would stick to interviews and proper analysis. Most of the time the interviews/training footage/critique of the previous week feel really rushed which is kind of understandable when they are trying to rattle through 15 couples but we are still getting 3 minute interviews and a few seconds of footage of training and the gaps are being filled with pro's throwing balls at jars? Why not go for more training footage or longer chats with the couples? It's 'all filla almost no killa'.

Sometimes a pro needs a good partnership to make them connect with the public, and Dan is definitely Nadiya's breakthrough celeb.

I agree with this. I liked her with Davood but they were being pushed as the sexy couple so people only saw her as that.

She didn't last long with her subsequent partners and we didn't really get to know her. Their Instagram stories show a side to her that we didn't see before and she comes across as very warm and funny. I'd quite like Dan and Nadiya to stay as long as possible as they are fun to watch, but realistically, he could go out this weekend.

Yes it was an hour long in previous series. I suspect that the reason they've cut it back is because House Of Games is built around the 5 day "stripped" format and fills the 6-6:30 slot nicely.
