Next week will be interesting. Sara's q/s might be nice, but 9–5 theming is probably going to be annoying. AJ might be great at the Charleston, or her Bambi legs might re-appear. I hope Jojo gets his choreographical mojo back, I haven't really got properly into their last few dances and rumba is a tricky one!

On colour alone I thought Tom and Amy were going to do a Spiderman themed Paso!

I like Dan. I agree he's not the best dancer, but he comes across as a decent chap with principles and a good relationship with Nadiya.

And hes' not annoying me as one or two of the others are/were.

It annoys me that Rhys doesn't take notes. Every single week they tell him to dance with his partner, show some layers, light & shade, work on his frame. Every single week he does exactly the same thing. Just like Karim.

I name changed to RockLobstersandHauntedGymsisit for Halloween (nearest to sequins for a Halloween change is SeeTwins a la The Shining but stilettos in the eye a la Single White Female is yuck) but then I was down a wormhole regarding Demis Roussos and The Trip To Greece and a kaftan versus a mumu, and I changed to the above for the last week. I agree about Rhys. I want him to do well but he is just so frenetic and Nancy has had seven weeks to calm him down. I am still regretting not putting money on Rose as soon as I saw the Digital Spy pairings spoiler.
If Gio doesn't contempowaft to Sound of Silence like Nyle did for their freestyle, then he is missing a trick.

I agree about Rhys.

But disagree about being like Karim. Yes, he was high energy (sometimes too much) on the fast numbers. But he delivered several beautiful, restrained ballroom dances. And he and Amy danced as a partnership.

I do think there's something wrong with Rhys's grasp of rhythm and musicality but I can't quite put my finger on it. So disappointing in such an otherwise talented man, although tbf he could be the second coming of Harry Judd and still wouldn't necessarily get the votes.

I don't think they do come out in the same order, surely ?

They walk down the stairs right at the beginning in the same order every week. It bears no relationship to the order they dance in.

I agree. Rhys seems to dance ahead of Nancy and doesn't seem to connect with her. His range seems very limited and there is no subtlety or nuances in his dancing.

If I wasn't pretty sure that Adam would be in the dance-off this week - because he was in it last week, so unless that shocked people who would vote for him and this week he gets those votes ... but it sort of indicates that he doesn't have a huge fan base - I'd think that this week we might be in for a decent dancer going before a poor dancer.

I think Dan is going to outstay his welcome given that he's avoided the dance-off thus far despite being near the bottom most weeks. If Adam is in the dance-off tonight and Dan remains out of it again then I think that next week will be the unfair ousting of a decent dancer because everyone else, whether they're popular or not, is putting some good dances out there.

I don't like Tilly, for example, but there's no way she should leave before Dan.

The thing is that Dan is a novice and never expected to get far. He's obviously very pleasant and friendly, respects Nadiya and is enjoying himself. It's an appealing combination. I can understand why people want him to come back and continue his journey (sorry for the j word!)

Dan is my children's favourite. Partially it's because they're very taken with how beautiful Nadiya is, and partially it's because there was fire in their gladiator routine. So DH always votes for D&N on our DCs' behalf.

I think there's not much light and shade, and there is too much bouncing about.

Some of the skill is about expressing emotion and not just how high you can jump.

And the emotional connection with Nancy isn't very good, which is a big hindrance.

I really liked these two on the first couple of shows, thought they were going to be one of my favourites throughout the series, but week by week I’ve found them less and less appealing... started to go off them the night Rhys kicked Nancy’s hand on the way to the clauditorium and somehow never regained the interest
