Una was pronounced ooh-na but many said you-na. Same as Ugo is ooh-go but many saying you-go, so same problem?

Joanne Clifton didn't last very long on Strictly did she. And she was brilliant!

Loved Kevin's choreo. He could ham it sometimes (see Frankie's defying gravity tango and Frankie's salsa) but I liked his enthusiasm and thought his tiny tree frog moniker (from Susanna's samba) a bit mean-spirited albeit hilarious (see the lily-pad leaping below)

Jo had Scott - and made to go brunette - then got benched - and made to go plum - then got Ore - and was allowed to stay blonde.
I think she just quit while she was ahead to do the musical theatre on offer and avoid the duffer she'd have had the year after....she would have been paired with one of Richard Coles, Brian Conley or Simon Rimmer - probably the Rev.

Just popping in to say I love Kai and think he's the bestest thing ever. I've lost track of how many times I've re-watched his dance with Johannes on Youtube, it really was stunning.

Also (sorry if it's been mentioned) it's popped up from various sources a few times in my FB timeline that Bruno is returning to Strictly. I hope to god that doesn't mean they'll get rid of Anton, he's the best judge on the panel with the most useful constructive feedback. If Bruno has to come back I'd much rather they got shot of Shirley or Motsi and kept Craig and Anton.

@evilharpy I love the dance with Johannes and Kai, as well as the really lovely post Johannes did on instagram showing him and Kai dancing together through the years and how much it meant to him.

He is back for the tour - no comment on the series for next year yet. No idea who they are benching for the tour or if they will go with five judges.

If Bruno's back, I imagine Shirley will be especially glad of the glass screens separating the judges.

Much preferred his sister, Karen Clifton is a real loss to Strictly.

He really isnt and Gorka wont be either if hes benched again. My theory is that Gorka got his knuckles rapped over his sensible comments about the vaccine thing. So he was pissy to begin with, then he had Katie doing 3 hours a day and was going to walk unless they let them go.

Oh no, please don’t let them get rid of Anton and replace with Bruno. The thought’s too terrible to contemplate.

I thought it was:

Should be Yoo-na Stubbs, but people said Oo-na. (I think Oona is the original Irish pronunciation, but she used Yoo-na.)

Should be Oo-go by people say Yoo-go.

But I think it's just too confusing, so I'll stick with knowing he's definitely Oo-go.

It’s a matter of opinion, Temple, that’s all. In fact, I wasn’t that sorry when Kevin left; I dreaded him becoming the new Anton, that is, getting lumbered with the oldies year after year and looking increasingly as if he’d be better as a judge, but I never saw anything in Kevin to make me cringe, not once. Ditto Gorka- not counting the dye job which mercifully has been ditched this season.

In terms of evidence for the prosecution m'lud, you can indeed rest your case that it's top 3 surely, alongside Quentin and James. I still think Susannah's samba wasn't as bad as those three.

I really liked Adam to start with and loved him at the olympics but I can barely watch him now, it makes me cringe so much. I wonder how much input he has in what he wears and how he presents himself. It almost appears that the producers are influencing him to present himself like this, but I wonder if that's really him. It's just a cringe fest for me tho.

I feel exactly the same!

I got 171, which I think is a decent score for someone who wasn't even in this country in the first few years. But I forgot some of last year's contestants.

I’m feeling a bit sorry for Adam now tbh. Rewatching last night’s show, he’s more a helpless pawn in Katya’s plan to win at all costs, it seems to me, rather than the (slight) show-off I suspected he was at the start. The way she jumps up and down, fist-pumping and screeching yessss! every time the judges make a positive remark about one of Adam’s steps... drives me up the wall.

If I was Adam I’d be looking for the ‘off’ switch. Was she always this irritating? It’s exhausting watching her.

But does she seriously think this sort of thing that will win it for her???!
