@lollipoprainbow

In the past 9's and certainly 10's weren't handed out like sweets until at least week 5/6 it feels too rushed this year.
Interestingly, I've just looked to see what week Sophie and Brendan did their Charleston and it was Week 2 - they scored four 9s
ilovebrie8 · 18/10/2021 09:23

The scoring is off Tilly was way over marked and Sara. This series just seems a bit meh compared to others , the costumes, “celebs” it’s not the same vibe as other series and this week’s was flat...probably one of worst I r watched in years. Hope it picks up !

dollybird · 18/10/2021 09:29

I have just found out that Kai went to the same college as my DC (who left this year and last year). #claimtofame 😂

ppeatfruit · 18/10/2021 09:42

Oy you lot sorry to hark back to the last thread (thanks for the new one Polka )

The octopus (or spoiling, if anyone doesn't mind ) had nothing to do with the forecast of who was to go last night, it was Friday's panel on ITT who said it. I saw it with my own eyes and heard it with my own ears.

Greydaysandrainbows · 18/10/2021 09:45

@the80sweregreat

Craig is the only one who knows what he is talking about ( in my opinion )
Yes, I only listen to Craig -his comments are spot on. Anton is a Len replacement. We loved Darcey B, Motisi we find very shouty -actually miss Bruno -what's he doing now? Shirley can make some useful comments but is very anti women for some reason.
Samcro · 18/10/2021 09:46

@lollipoprainbow

Yes what is the obsession with Tilly she is mediocre at best are the judges all being given a backhander by Gordon ?!
well the only reason she is there is because he is her dad,
cricketmum84 · 18/10/2021 09:48

@Greydaysandrainbows he is judging on Dancing with the stars in the US.

SunshineCake1 · 18/10/2021 10:09

@Clawdy

I really like Anton as a judge, but his ludicrous comment about Tilly’s dance being the best of the season was ridiculous.
Her best not the best.
SoupDragon · 18/10/2021 10:11

Bruno added nothing to the judging really. He just stood up, flung his arms about a bit and spouted some flowery language.

CaveMum · 18/10/2021 10:21

Yes I took Anton's comments to mean he thought it was Tilly's best dance, rather than the best of all the competitors.

I think it's a bit unfair to say she's only there because of her dad, she's a "celeb" in her own right in so far as she appears on children's TV so to my mind she is no different to any of the CBBC/Blue Peter presenters they wheel out, and it's an obvious attempt to appeal to a younger audience in the same way that using bloggers is an attempt to pull in the teens.

SoupDragon · 18/10/2021 10:29

Yes, she's surely no different to Rhys.

WeAreTheHeroes · 18/10/2021 10:35

I don't miss Bruno one iota. He's judging DWTS in the US and went for the bigger exposure and more money over there instead of commuting between the US and UK which is trickier with the pandemic measures in place now.

GettingLardy · 18/10/2021 10:37

Love Rose and her comments about fake tan addiction!

CaveMum · 18/10/2021 10:46

@SoupDragon

Yes, she's surely no different to Rhys.
DD aged 7 adores him, she won't have a bad word said about him and pulls me up on any comments I make about his dancing!

I think it's totally fair that people she is only there because if her dad. Just look at how many times they shoehorned him into the opening shows!

She is not like any other children's TV presenter. Do you honestly think she would have the CBBC job or any of her other lucrative gigs without her family connections?

BBC nepotism at its most obvious.

KitchenDancefloor · 18/10/2021 11:41

I agree with the nepotism at the bbc. At one point both Gordon Ramsey and Noel Gallagher's teenaged daughters had their own presenting slots on cbbc. As if that would ever be an option for the average 14 year old whose parents are showbiz-civilians.

KitchenDancefloor · 18/10/2021 11:43

Thanks to the pp who let me know about Tilly's probable uni course.
I've got nothing against her as a person, in fact she seems lovely. It's the nepotism that stinks.

He made me laugh - Motsi we find her very shouty unfortunately
Bluffinwithmymuffin · 18/10/2021 12:11

Today 08:58 SoupDragon

It was nowhere near Faye and Gio's Charleston (which I think was the best ever).

I still feel robbed that we didn't get to see Sophie and Brendan redo their Charleston in the final.

I’m with you there

Shirleyphallus · 18/10/2021 12:15

I totally missed this thread but agree with the comments that this season feels really quite lacklustre compared to others

Maybe just cos I don’t know any of the celebs or have bonded with them really

mydogisthebest · 18/10/2021 13:07

@Luckytattie

Right just watched it on iPlayer.

I liked the group dance, don't know what people are going on about not being able to see. There was plenty to see.
Gio is gorgeous, I want him in my bed.
Graziano is gorgeous I want him in my bed also!

Aliaz is so kind and happy and positive.

I didnt rate Greg very well and I'm glad he's gone. Judi will likely go next week.

Tom Fletcher just seems like a nice guy. Of course he knows lots of famous people..

Hated Claudia's dress... definitely a toddler look.

I have always loved Karen. Team Karen all the way

Katya is absolutely hot as hell and an amazing dancer. I never watch her partners I just watch her. I think she gets negative comments because people are jealous of her. 🤔

I like Westlife.

So there 😋

I don't like Katya very much and am certainly not jealous of her. If I were jealous of any of the dancers it would be Oti, Karen and Nadiya. They are all very attractive and have great figures.

I don't think Katya is anywhere near as attractive and too fond of screeching. She also, to me, does not come across as a very nice person.

ShirleyPhallus · 18/10/2021 13:25

As a bit of gossip, it looks like Gio and Maura Higgins have broken up as they’ve deleted each other from all social media….

There my have been plenty to see but I couldn't see any of it. The black background, dark lighting, white points of feet and hands clashing with the small amount of sparkly light that there was. I thought it was very badly styled.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 18/10/2021 13:41

@FuzzyPuffling

Octo wins! (Although she is the first to admit that is was an easy arthropod decision this week)
I thought she must have identified as trans-species?

I thought Octopusses were cephalopods - so I consulted Dr Google.

They ARE cephalopods. And also arthropods. And all of this is because of SCIENCE

Every day is a schoolday on here.
