Of all the ridiculous things that happened in those episodes, but Jenny searching with her mobile phone torch in the driving rain took the biscuit. Who would do that?? 😂

Well, realistically if the stree where i live collapsed during a storm while there was a Halloween event happening, i might be so bewildered Id search with my phone.
I was trying to tell my friend earlier what had happened . She hadn't watched recently. I doubt she believed me.

What are they going to do with everyone? Mass move to community centre for a month? Half street is out of bounds can’t see how they can get around this one.

They'll be able to move into the elastic houses on the other side of the street!

Why can't the writers see what we see, it's absolutely dreadful.

I’ve just watched last night’s episodes and don’t know where to begin:

1. Roy Cropper, who is a) about 70 and b) has never lifted anything heavier than an Eccles cake in his life is going to pull a grown woman to safety from fast-flowing water in the middle of a major storm, using only a polyester anorak that’s nearly as old as he is?

2. Literally everyone falls down a hole at the exact perfect moment? Are Jenny and Jambo going to find Gemma Collins down there too?

3. The ground collapses underneath Jenny and she’s swept away without a trace, yet 60-something Johnny can climb down the side of said unstable hole, in torrential rain, as if there’s a built-in ladder - all whilst popping his head up to say ‘Don’t worry Shona - I’m going to be juuuust fine’ (kiss of death if ever I heard it)? I half expected him to add ‘Smoke me a kipper - I’ll be back before breakfast’.

4. It’s raining like Noah has just loaded the ark, bits of the street are collapsing, people are screaming blue murder - yet Debbie STILL doesn’t want to close the horror show, and meanwhile, in the Rovers, Carla has heard none of this and can barely manage a ‘Bit wet, int it?’ Plus Amy and Summer, who were actually there, react with little more than a shrug.

5. Nina says ‘OMG - where’s the gun?!’ and she and Roy stare at each other in horror, rather than thinking ‘if a person can be washed away in seconds in all this, that gun will never be seen again’. Mind you, they’re right to panic, as Jambo has not only survived his trap door drop unharmed, but he’s also landed right by a loaded gun.

I’m sure there’s more, but it’s getting late and my brain hurts…

Oh, and I’m calling it now - the ghost is Sharon.

I just gave up watching in the end .

The ghost looked taller than Sharon, but that might have been an optical illusion. Anything is possible.

I haven't watched any of yet. Just reading this post is making break out in hives

I’m just thinking it needs to be someone we’ll be surprised to see and who ties into the storyline somehow. If Sharon whips out her trusty stun gun and saves Leanne from Jambo’s evil clutches, it can be her redemption in case they ever want to bring back the character full-time.

Oh I like Sharon the ghost! Hears about Harvey knows he’s after revenge, gets her handy ghost outfit out of her handbag finds everyone…. Drops down right sink hole gets washed out. Picks up the gun and boom Harvey is finished once and for all!

I missed Kevin getting hit by Harvey. What happened to the security guard. He was in on it wasn't he. Might have to watch it again. .

What's all this talk of a ghost? I must have missed that 😬

Sorry to say but I really hoped Leanne was going to die! I find her so annoying and I knew Corrie was just toying with my emotions and nothing interesting was going to happen.

Sigh bring back the days where Phelan had Andy held hostage!

Perhaps the ghost is Robert, returned to see why no bugger's bothered to give him a decent send-off yet.
Can't wait to get back to Brian weighing out Pontefract cakes in the Kabin again.

I missed Kevin getting hit by Harvey. What happened to the security guard. He was in on it wasn't he. Might have to watch it again. .

There were 2 security guards. One was in on it and the other (driver) wasn't. Bad SG walloped good SG causing van to veer off the road. Neither of them have been seen since, so perhaps both dead.

The good security guard seemed be one who appeared as strange in street who helped after explosion and then asked who Kev was so he could try and wake him up. The baddie guard took his seat belt off before crash so can’t imagine he was left in good state after the crash.

The Ghost was focused on on while everyone was leaving the area as if they were important character, hence all speculation.

Yeah, good prison officer was the one trying to get help.

The idea that Harv would be in the back on his own is ridiculous, he'd have been handcuffed to an officer.

Also the van door was left unlocked, so surely he could've just got out when stopped at lights anyway?

Harvey was in one of those tiny transport cubicle things in the back of the van that is supposed to be locked but the guard deliberately left it open so he could escape.

Yeah, I don't think they were supposed to crash, I think the plan was for bad guy to take control, drive somewhere else, H gets out, collected by gang and taken to a plane. He had a phone conversation using Kev's phone (am I the only person who would be no good using someone else's phone because I don't know any phone numbers by heart?) saying to make sure the plane was ready.
Then he took a detour courtesy of Kev's truck to Corrie to just bump off his nemesis, a middle aged woman and teenage boy!
