Tom and Amy out for next week with Covid..... let's hope it doesn't go through the rest of the cast. I know they sit separately but the are still reasonably close to each other

I’ve just rewatched AJ and Kai, and they look like they were having so much fun together, it made me smile.

Just watched AJ and Kai again too. Didn't notice the nod to her but was sweet. She does need to keep her mouth closed throughout though. Really enjoyed it 2nd time around

I enjoyed the show!! Posting late, but had to post to say how awful Shirley was. Perving over the men. That awful comment she made about the celeb black guy in cerise suit about being able to see all his body parts moving, even parts he didn't intend to move - just yuk.

Have to catch up with last night's show later, but that drives me mad about Shirley, the perving. She did it all the time, last year too.

I plan to fast forward every time she speaks.

If Shirley were male and making similarly overtly sexual remarks to the women - there would be OUTCRY.

It does need addressing.

This! I've often thought this.. I don't know why the producers don't call her out for it.

Thank god for Rylan. Janette's lovely and ok at reading an autocue but I'm not sure she has the ability to generate spontaneous, entertaining chat.

Am I remembering wrong or historically have rugby players done well on Strictly? Ugo has such a good physique that I imagine him doing well and being able to move

I don't think they have done particularly well. They seem to be extremely strong and fit but lack flexibility which makes them somewhat stiff - this seems to be true of a lot of muscly sportsmen (and women maybe). I'm not very good at remembering the contestants though!

Obviously gymnasts are the exception to that!

I think they've been... variable. Austin Healey should have been in the Series 6 final, and Matt Dawson was very good. Kenny Logan not so much. Although I think he was still top 6.

I think you're right that they can be a bit muscle-bound.

Most of those were before my time. Ben was probably the first.

I have rugby playing sons and their flexibility is appalling! It's just not something that's worked on in training.

Although wasn't there a "thing" about rugby players learning ballet?or was that footballers? 🤔

Yes, I agree. At least Bruno's not there to add his inappropriate comments this year.

I reckon both Ugo and Adam are slightly deficient in the rhythm department but Oti and Katya are going to get them to dance by sheer force of willpower dammit. Katya in particular senses blood. There's a photo Monkseal put up of Kristyna Rhihanoff (sp?) looking up at Jason Donovan and seeing his head replaced by a huge glitterball and that's the energy I'm getting from Katya and Adam.

Greg is an utter duffer but by dint of wearing vests at every opportunity he's managed to get the fact that he's quite ripped for a bloke of his age all over prime time BBC and can now wait for the Marvel casting guys to get around to him.

Loving Kai and AJ's partnership - very appealing the way they communicate on the floor. I really hope they appeal to the GBP - they're certainly working the NOT A RINGER HONEST! message hard enough.

John is a bit of a ringer but I'm loving watching him. Because of the same sex pairing I think Johannes is going to have to try particularly hard not to outdance him, but I'm sure they'll be fine.

I remember Erin trying to train goalkeeper Peter Schmeical (sp?) and her commenting on him having absolutely no idea how to use his ankles which is obviously a major problem for ballroom!

I’m pleasantly surprised by Adam so far, I honestly thought those big bulky shoulders would be a real hinderance (they still may be when he does ballroom!).
