Anyone watching? and what do you think?
I am not sure so far...Only 1 and a bit episodes in though.

I am. First episode very slow. Halfway through the second episode. Are we allowed to post our theories?

Watching it.and have read that others have said the same that its very very slowwwwww. On episode 3 at the moment.
Not sure what to make of it..poor cats and dog though!!

On episode 4 and I think it's the best one yet., I love it. It's nowhere near as scary or as jumpy as the previous ones, but still headfucky all the same.

I loved Hill House and absolutely binged on bly Manor but really struggling to even get through this. It's very exposition heavy and not a lot has happened so far....

Too many scenes with long unnecessary dialogue. I wondered why quite a few of the characters looked odd and now I think I know why. Just about to watch episode 4.

I’ve finished watching it. Stick at it. It does get better. I thought it was really good although took a while to build up.

Loving the blue /grey coloration and filming

The little wooden village set keeps reminding me of Popeyes village in the Popeye film though 🤣

Well..finished...really liked the ending and the singing was pretty lovely.

Loving it. I've watched 4 episodes so far, and I love seeing familiar faces in the new roles. (And I love that Neil Diamond album).

I think I'll end up watching it more than once and taking in more dialogue.

Haha. My husband doesn't like scary shows so it's the only thing I watch whilst he's out. He came in, popped himself on the sofa whilst I watched it and after ten minutes goes "wow they monologue A LOT"

The monologues are making me sleep. So shit compared to the other two. At least the monologues in haunting and Bly manor had ghosts hanging around the background.

@Hihelp yep I totally agree. Although I also found Bly Manor shit compared to Hill House. Wondering if Mike Flanagan just got lucky with Hill House!!

Okay, here’s my main bug bear which is also A SPOILER!!!

Are we supposed to believe that Father Paul/Monsignor Pruitt, in all of his years, has never heard of vampires and mistakes the obvious vampire for an angel instead??!

I loved it. I thought the monologues were beautifully written and acted, and okay, not exactly normal conversational style, but it had a very specific style visually as well. I thought it worked. I loved Riley and Erin's takes on what happens when you die.

I was teary-eyed more than once.

Pruitt wasn't an idiot. He explains towards the end.

Yeahh I think I missed a lot of monologue which is why had to watch moments at the end again.
But the ending in its own way its lovely! Definitely not as good as the other 2 series but did bring a tear.. its the music! Always the music!

No, the word is never used.

I’m only part way through but the ageing up of characters from the actors true age is bugging me. The prosthetics are terrible.

Do we see them as younger versions later on? The doctor’s mother and Riley’s parents are ridiculous.
