Oh God! I wouldn't know how too- Seriously I do not mind- discuss away.

OK, so I at first thought there was a simplistic anti Christian theme to it with Bev being so incredibly odious but now I think that it might be more about hubris. And there was a brief point at the end where it looked like her pov changed before she died but it didn't.

Lastly, with a lot of them changing their clothes, do you think that was done to show how they lost their humanity? Am just musing.

He has a new show coming out next year called The Midnight Club so will be watching out for that.

Yes that one looks interesting too. Looks like it might be Creepshow/Are You Afraid of the Dark? inspired.

I somehow tuned out at the reveals to who he was so really got confused at the last episode...but his reasoning.. even if very very very flawed were nice I guess. Out of love..ish. Meant to be helpful to people.Just didn't really work out the way it was meant to.

Do you think it's intentional that the priest looks like nick cave and the mayor is Ned Flanders?

Just got to the end and enjoyed it and the story/reason why the priest got dragged into it all. I like spooky stuff that isn't too terrifying and this hit the mark.

I’ve loved all three of his shows, bly manor needs rewatching to appreciate properly and has me ugly crying by the end.

Rewatching that one now...agree about the end scene. And episode 5! There's a theme with episode 5 in his series! Emotions.

I just think the English Accents let that series down so badly! Especially Henry James-His was laughable and distracted from the seriousness

Yeah they are definitely different..shame. Few get used to others however especially Henry Thomas..nope!!

I finished this today after rationing myself to one episode per day. I loved it. In contrast to those who found it slow, I found myself thinking that one thing I liked about it was that it wasn't afraid to just let those monologues stretch out and expand. Zach Gilford and Kate Siegel are good enough actors to make that compelling, they don't need tight editing and jump scares.

I would have like it be be a bit more scary, though. Hill House had some properly ice-down-the-spine moments, and I want that at this time of year

Too many scenes with long unnecessary dialogue. I wondered why quite a few of the characters looked odd and now I think I know why. Just about to watch episode 4.

I found myself fast forwarding through a lot of it, then I just stopped watching two thirds in to episode four. I might give it a second try as others have liked it.,

I felt ending was not believable - they still had time to build crude shelters from leftover planks etc. Or to save some less damaged houses. No cave or other natural shelter on the island? What about diving in the water with small breaths of air? Their giving up so fast was not believable to me unless it was for inner moral reasons.
