I am so disappointed. I have enjoyed watching the PROPER style show for years, in particular the US version and it's be lovely because the matches seem genuine and quite a few couples have stayed together over the years. This is not the married at first sight I know.

Back in my day, a lot of my single colleagues were fairly footloose and fancy free. Equally if not more so.

Serving overseas in a place close to party central, I have no reason to doubt that their jewels got a lot of airing. Tourist season was pretty much an open invite.

I don't think they online date....that would require a degree of care or commitment. I would suggest it's snagging apps like tinder that allow them to have such high numbers. Wham, bam and onto the next one. We should all - men and women - have higher standards for ourselves and not just jump into bed willy nilly.....(My 18 year old self is currently shouting at me - "shut up you old fuddy daddy, we can have sex just for sex sake because it's fun" my middle aged self is hoping my kids don't shag around too much....)

I watched more series 6 MAFAUS last night and am now very confused about the two series. I am far more hooked on the Australians, it has to be said.

The whole Ant and Alexis thing has annoyed me the most and gone to prove that the whole 'experiment' aspect is totally redundant now.

They didn't even know each other, chatted for half and hour at the dinner party and then were allowed to stay in the process from that? Despite not being matched by the 'experts' (questionable), which is meant to be the whole point? And now it turns out Ant doesn't even like her so the whole thing was pointless anyway.

I miss the old format :(

Yes. The idea was that science would make better matches, and that making a commitment by becoming married would be the best way to start a relationship.

It never worked out that way, perhaps because whatever science they were using was rubbish, or because marrying a stranger introduced a whole heap of expectations/stress that made it harder to form a relationship.

But whatever they are trying now seems to be even less likely to succeed.

For what little it is worth, my number is three - two long-term monogamous relationships will have that result - but I'm not entirely sure I'd have been brave enough to say so to a bunch of other guys on national TV.

I’m watching Don’t tell the bride. And the announcer before it started said MAFS later and something about each couple receiving anonymous letters from other couples about what they think of them!!

And I think it said it’s the last dinner party.
