Josh actually comes across as essentially quite sweet. He's still very young in outlook and he's clearly been a bit of a shagger but he seems quite caring. He's so chilled that the sort of attention Amy needs passes him by sometimes.

I'm highly strung and I do like laid back men to balance me out. As long as they're clued in and cuddly! Josh isn't at that point yet.

It is all about choice producers - not forcing a situation. There is a name for that in the real world. Don’t make it ‘entertainment’ - no matter how ‘lite’ you try to make it.

Last night's episode was 10 minutes of artificially fired up drama, 10 minutes of playing games like teenagers, 2 minutes of shagging bragging (the boys and their over-notched bedposts, all I can think is STD STD STD) 10 minutes of reaction shots from.every.one.else. between each comment and 30 minutes of adverts and recaps.

BORING. How the producers have managed to make a scenario with the potential for massive interest like MAFS to be as monumentally dull and repetitive as it is I have no idea. They are so narrow in showing what they want us to see there is only a tiny amount of material to broadcast.

Disappointed in Alexis, she doesn't know how to handle herself at all.

Impressed with how easy going Josh appears to be.

Not sure about Marylise - maybe she is just quite a closed book? I don't get the impression she is scared of Franky.

I think Matt and Dan are both thinking "WTF are we doing here?"

The boys in a group come across so badly. Every cliche going applies.

Can imagine Frankie and a couple of the others who seem very gym-oriented would think like this actually, but wouldn't say it... especially when she's given them a perfect reason to cover with. I suspect the others may have rationalised that she seemed untrustworthy and gone for that. She's copped enough flak now though- and Alexis was just looking to vent her spleen.

One of the guys (Josh or Fwanky?) did say last night that Megan’s only copping all the flak because Jordan’s not here, which several of us have said before.

Just some random observations from me as I'm basically in accord with the comments everyone else has already made.

I've been feeling an increasing disconnect for years. I harp on about when reality shows were first conceived and how naive they were and that is what I liked. What producers and directors are serving up now isn't how I want to be entertained and yet here I am for the debate

Re Megan's size or weight, there is absolutely nothing wrong with her figure and in the real world it wouldn't even be mentioned. In the TV world where so many women are compelled to be ultra skinny and tiny all over except their boobs and perhaps their bums, any slight difference stands out more, just like people with regular coloured teeth stand out in a world of ultra white veneers. It reminds me a bit of the trolling of one of Girls Aloud. Now on her own in pictures she looks regular, against the other women she was taller, broader shouldered and an overall larger person, which is not to say big or fat. I hope that comes across how I mean it to.

As for the comments about who wouldn't you want to be married to? yes, if they'd all refused to answer that would've been the right thing. I can well image a crew member saying that we're not going to wrap until you do answer and keeping the beers flowing though.

I actually cut Franky a bit of slack last night, it'd be interesting to see the other side of him, the side that makes Marylise defend him. Although the other question about how many sexual partners they'd all had was uber cringe and not at all believable, not to me anyway.

There's got to be more depth to these people, there has to be, but once they've sought out this kind of 'fame' they're hostage to it and the repercussions that brings and it ain't pretty so far. I bet there's no counselling or aftercare either.

This is not a soap where most can differentiate between actors and real life.

This is a reality show where most will associate the person with their behaviour on here.

Most of the people on this show are carrying more baggage than a hotel porter.

They are allowing themselves to be used in the name of entertainment and a wage packet and to an extent that is fine.

But give them the tools to cope with the aftermath. Especially an aftermath which has been the result of a script, manipulation and blatant disregard of potential fall out.

I know it’s TV and not real life but it’s so fustrating watching people try and push a relationship where ten minutes in it was obvious they were incompatible.

Morag and Luke should have ended after their wedding when they found out A) morag doesn’t fancy him B) he wants kids

Josh and Amy should never have been paired. She is desperate to settle down and have kids ASAP and I doubt he’d want that for at least 5/6 years. He’s still acting like someone who wants to shag around and is acting like he’s just doing “normal” dating and not the pretend marriage this is supposed to be.

Bob and Megan should have ended after their honeymoon. She doesn’t fancy him. Shame but oh well. I think he’d suit Amy, although that age gap is still there.

Tayah needs to be single and get therapy. Who is that stressed at not being married with kids by 25?? I predict their relationship will crash and burn in about 6 months. Possibly once she’s pregnant.

Frankie also needs therapy before a relationship.

I’m totally baffled by Alexis and Ant. She’s stunning and he flirted with her but suddenly he’s not attracted to her? She’s so young and pretty she should just go find love the traditional way, I think it she’d have more success!

I've never watched Love Island, but I've read about what's happened to some of the people associated with. Lessons need to be learned. It's a far cry from vilyfying Nasty Nick on the original Big Brother when it was all very innocent and more pantomime.

If they do any aftercare it strikes me as more like cutting someone and then being kind enough to provide a plaster.

I suppose the premise is fundamentally flawed these days by the kind of people who'd subject themselves to the level of scrutiny by the viewers and the lack of expertise or the ulterior motives in the so called ixperts making the matches.

I agree, I actually think there are only a few people in there who are 'properly' taking part in the experiment that it's meant to be. I feel like most of them just showed up hoping they'd meet someone they fancied. Like, you can tell by the way Bob speaks that he's wanting to do the process for real, whereas Megan, Morag, Amy, Jordan, Ant....tbh the majority of the others really just seem to have come along to meet someone, without the rest of the context of the show.

For me, Ant and Alexis being allowed to continue just defies the point of the whole show completely. They may as well be on First Dates, they have not been matched 'on paper', which is supposed to be the whole point.

More out of curiosity when things kicked of with Nikita I went on her Instagram to see the abuse. I reported maybe ten comments to Instagram for bullying or harassment and none of them got removed. A lot of stuff about “you people “ and bitch etc . If I report similar on Twitter it at least gets removed !

I think it's weird that Alexis has related the whole Jordan-Megan kiss thing with herself, rather than with Jordon.
