I’m confused about the preview for the commitment ceremony… Ixpert asking Meg why she chose to ‘have an affair’? I thought it was just one kiss after the last dinner party that was outed the next day at the commitment ceremony, hardly an affair!

Josh simply isn't mature enough to deal with Amy's insecurities and neediness. He is used to "slam, bam, thank you, mam". He doesn't know what to do! Whereas Amy is desperate for someone who will be constantly validating her and her feelings, someone who doesn't challenge her either.
