@SheldonesqueTheBstard I agree. It's just that we're all being quite reasonable analysing their behaviour and looking for motivation as though it could be genuine, despite on the other hand agreeing that the ixperts may have picked the names from a hat and interns are writing the storylines

I'm someone who likes my trash TV to have a least some semblence of credibility, so I have to keep reminding myself If there wasn't a forum to discuss it all with other people, I don't think I'd actually watch at all.

@SheldonesqueTheBstard think it was mentioned at the commitment ceremony, but it was also in a lot of the news articles about her departure - if it had been because of the honeymoon incident they’d not even have let her do the dinner party I suspect!

I have to agree that MAFSUK would have gone by the wayside for me but for the threads.

Mafsaus? Far superior for the drama!

I wish it was more realistic (real even?) but it just doesn’t feel that way.

More cast than contestant. More ham than a great big hammy thing and more obvious twists than an episode of murder she wrote.

I too like my reality tv real. I can’t understand why folk would agree to go on a ‘reality’ show and let themselves be depicted as a fool or a villain.

In the days before social media or the net you could maybe justify a big pay day for that.

The grief you get now? Unless it was heaps of millions, I don’t think the hatred or stain on your character would be worth it.

I don't want to cheat on a programme I've only been watching for a week or so....I should respect the forum and committ to the whole thing.....but.....I've just started to watch Ready to Mingle over on ITV. It's a game show with a cash prize....so motives are quite.clear...it's sort of romance themed.....and it has Kathryn Ryan making sarcastic comments in the voice over - so doesn't try to take itself to seriously.....I'm sure there are already threads for that show so won't derail this....but, you might want to try it if you are disillusioned with MAFSUK.

Sheldon I agree #fuddyduddy I just don't get why anyone would agree to go on a reality show and then be handed a script and told to start acting, which has obviously happened here. Unless of course, you acted for a living, in which case just audition for Hollyoaks!

Villains in soaps get enough grief when out shopping for sprouts as some think the villain is nasty in real life.

It absolutely baffles me that you would be happy to portray yourself as a knob or whatever for money.

I don’t think Luke is who he is being made out to be. Got to assume editing plays a part even for the ones coming across well. It’s hard to tell if he’s playing the nice guy or is actually that way but I wouldn’t trust anyone on this show to be what they initially seem.

Reality TV people are like politicians, the ones who want it, probably shouldn’t have it.
