They didn’t seem that sympathetic to Freda did they. She was his partner, but it was Rita who dramatically swooned onto a bench. No one expressed sympathy to Freda. Next scene: Freda has gone.

I think the weird Norris thing might have been a very clumsy attempt to show that people in shock after a sudden death can react in a variety of ways?
Or perhaps I'm being charitable. I loved the old Mavis, Derek, Norris, Angela complications which were on classic corrie a few months ago.

@escapeyou - you've pretty much summed it up...yeah, she had a MC after the fire. Now, after finding out that this was Hope's 3rd fire and Ty confessing that he kissed Fiz, she told Emma she's pregnant again. Emma let the news slip to Ty who tried to catch Alina but, unsurprisingly, she's p**d off at him and heading back to Romania.

Will there be a silly "Tyrone racing round the airport" scene , with a dramatic encounter as she's about to board the plane?!
