I do like how they write Kirk. Just a little bit further and it would be over the top but they always just manage to keep his wackiness believable. He's a good actor.

There was a whole programme on Norris on Monday night.

Rita and Ken really looked their ages tonight. The Norris grieving could have been quite moving, but it didn't work for me. Mary's awful acting as usual didn't help, and Norris was not a particularly likeable character anyway.

I actually really enjoyed it this evening. Because the old characters have depth they knew what to do with them

Why did they play Norris' death for laughs? Ridiculous scene in the Rovers with Emma being super dim. And WTF was Mary on?

Nothing very helpful to add, but Toyah's hair is awful. The roots are really long and dark. Once you've seen it, you can't unsee it.
At least its a welcome distraction from the decor in that flat ! I like a pattern, but my eyes !!!!

Never mind her roots, her hair is just awful and what on earth are her clothes like. For a young woman she is so miserable.

Watching on catch up now. Why does everyone else look upset about Norris except his partner??? she’s acting like she’s just passed on the news rather than being his bereaved partner!

I think they did a disservice to Norris, it shouldn’t have been treated as a joke and Mary should have been far more upset than she was, her and Norris had a very strong friendship albeit a bit odd at times, Norris helped her through her rape trauma and so much more besides, she wouldn’t have been cracking jokes about Princess Di and rose bushes I honestly think the scriptwriters are dimwits, utterly clueless.

Yes Freda was hardly bereft either…….
