I'm pissed off at the Josh/ Amy pairing. As a mid 30s woman wanting a family, with a tough past, why would she want to waste time on a 26 year old who is palpably not ready to settle down? Josh doesn't seem a bad lad but it wouldn't have taken much probing to reveal that he might like the idea of a mature woman but is nowhere near ready to provide the kind of stability that someone with Amy's experiences would need from a partner. I know it's TV but I don't think it's fair to mess with vulnerable people in this way.

Also Frankie shouldn't be on there, his reaction to Marilyse not wanting to bunk up on the first night was worrying.

Big Bob needs to calm the fuck down and give Megan some substance to work with! There seems to be a nice guy in there under the alternate sad stories and manic clowning.

I'm going to speak in defence of Morag here. I don't think Luke is even remotely in her league looks wise, and i would find him exceptionally irritating. The gurning would really get on my tits and did anyone notice the way he eats his food? Like he's using a shovel not a fork. And she had a point about the clothes, he looked SO much better after they went shopping. And she did tell him she wanted affection and hand holding and he just kind of went "meep meep" at her and said to the camera that she should lead the way - she did! But still he did nothing. He's way too much of a wet blanket for me. He might be 'nice' but TBH I'd also find the lack of self esteem really unattractive.
Clearly it's all in the eye of the beholder because I think he is a nice looking man and a bit of a catch and she's odd looking. Although that might also be to do with her accent/voice which grate on me. In fact everything about her grates on me. I respect her self confidence though.

Not keen on Marylise she seems like a social climber and way older than she makes out, she's more like a well preserved 46 year old with all the fillers and Botox. When he said he lived in Dubai you could see the pound signs flashing in her eyes.

Franky is an utter arsehole. Glad Marylise has a backbone (and ten years more than she's admitting to) and hope he won't break it. I'd have walked out at his speech.

Also Amy & her Chakras- reminded me of when Penny in TBBT was much more spiritual in early seasons... partly to make her look naive and a bit silly next to scientist Leonard.

So many people on this show who are in no way ready for a relationship.

Megan - no proper experience, wants a fairy tale.
Nikita - self obsessed, insecure, draining, in it for fame.
Morag - still grieving, lonely, possibly fame hungry.
Amy - raw, traumatised, body clock ticking.
Josh - in it for his 15 minute of fame.
Franky - arrogant, in it for his 15 minutes

Marylise seems balanced but you wonder her motivations, Luke and Bob need mates to rally round and to date slowly, I think, their confidence/previous losses have scarred them. Ant...I'm slightly on the fence because he's done tv before, but he seems sincere overall. On the same shelf as Luke & Bob I think.

I thought that, he’s not really been down on her for it, just down on it for him, if that makes sense? Also amy made herself sound a right dick with that line about being on a ‘higher level’, so try hard and superior 😂

Finally caught up with both threads.

I think a balance between the Aus format and normal UK format would have been better.

Also that if you have been on any tv shows previously then you are not able to take part.
Makes a mockery of people who would genuinely like to find love.

I really hope that all the contestants get 6 months therapy afterwards as standard.

It is a shambles - just so obviously done purely for the drama matching people who have massive deal-breakers.
"I want kids" - match 'em with someone who doesn't.
"I don't want to leave NI" - match 'em with someone settled elsewhere
"I live in Dubai" - good, go back there

I find it baffling someone with dc under 16 would entertain this. Don’t you remember Aussie Jo being really pissed off she left her kids for weeks for that man who clearly didn’t fancy her. He ended up having a fling with one of the others after the show.

Finally seen all 4 episodes and my thoughts so far

Nikita - dreadful, never seen anyone so entitled and self absorbed. Didn't ask one question of her new husband apart from his name
Ant - best looking of all the guys apart from Megan's twin Will Young lookey/likey, embarrassingly over protective brother. Also seems very intelligent unlike his wife

Megan - really like her and her personality but you shouldn't really be needing me time on your honeymoon
Bob - needs to calm down massively but a good bloke

Morag - on the fence, looks and acts miserable most of the time. Shouldn't have been selected for show. Too emotionally fragile
Luke - Mr. Too Nice Guy

Marylise - nice woman, far too good for whom she's been matched with. Too much forehead botox. It's added another ten to her 36 years
Frankie - didn't take to him when all the guys were meeting. Confirmed later. Another candidate for losing too much body fat so that his face also looks at least five years older than his 47 years. He also looks like he's quick to anger at the slightest thing. Don't get me started on his attitudes to women.

Josh - Immature for 26, isn't he the one who said Luke had some strange ideas when Luke said he wanted to firstly get to know the person emotionally.
Amy - I liked that even though she was wearing a lot of make up, she didn't appear to have had loads of work done, I think she had naturally full lips and was the prettiest bride. I couldn't take to her talking about the sadness of losing her twins but then going on about wanting someone well endowed. Don't get me started on spirituality that focuses on crystals and star signs, I'm with Josh on this!

Daniel and Andrew (?) I had high hopes but I am not sure that Daniel isn't just in this for the fame with his free spirit stuff. I also like Andrew but that's maybe because he looks like an older version of a (straight) boyfriend from my youth.
