Ahh, that's why Brendan was dancing with Nicole tonight - Karen and Mark were dancing on BBC's Sports Personality of the Year show. Rather bizarrely.

Why was Nicole wearing a bikini top for a ballroom dance, that really vexed me.

Karen was just dancing with Mark Ramps on SPOY did their HOT number to the test cricket theme it worked well!

I'm glad Leticia danced well & went out on a high tonight, she has improved greatly but had Matt not had a crap night ( what WAS going on with him!!)he is usually the better dancer. Let's hope this has given him the kick up the backside he needs to get back in focus.Might not do ALeysha any harm either the fright of being in the bottom two!

Hate to say this for all you Matt fans but I have wondered the last couple of weeks if he is on something? He just seems to have a bit of a vacant/odd look in his eyes.

Well it does make you wonder doesn't it Luby? He has lost his sparkle & his puppyish bounce. Maybe he's on the old dusting powder to keep him going & it's affecting his memory?

I don't think there is anything going on with Matt except pressure of the competition and maybe his schedual - isn't he doing a lot more filming now for Eastenders than he was a few weeks ago?

I was wondering about the Karen/Nicole thing too. I was thinking that there had been a big bust-up until I saw Karen on Sports Personality. Still not 100% convinced.

Tess had another off-the shoulder droopy number again for the voting I see!

if sports personality of the year was on live tonight why would that have prevented karen dancing with brendan? it's filmed on sat night.

brendan was nasty about karen on it takes two last week - he said he never agreed with her opinions on dancing.

How sad to see Letitia go. It was the right time for her to leave though. She was so gracious.

I used to have a Saturday job with a dancer from Come Dancing. He was in the Penge Latin American Formation Team. He cooked me dinner once. Many, many moons ago.

Did anyone else notice that Lilia was in the audience on Sat? She was behind where Brucey was standing (just next to the judges).

I'm wondering whether whoever it was that was wondering about her little "tummy" could be right...

I saw Lilia too but only her head and shoulders so can't comment on her tummy.

Sadly tis 2 unmarried men, 44 and 5?; a married couple in their 40s and their 17yo daughter who is considerably more interested in rugby than dancing. When I asked her if she was watching it she looked like and said "Erm, no." as only a 17yo can!

Also the tv is upstairs so I can't even get away with having it on in the background.
No. I think it's best if I tape it then I can watch it in peace the next day - just have to avoid anyone who might tell me the result when I go shopping on the Sunday morning! Maybe a large sign around my neck saying "I don't know the result of the dancing - please don't mention it when I'm in earshot" would help?

You'll have to avert your eyes from the Sunday papers too....how about booking n online shop for that day??!

Just read that article (another trustworthy source ) I can imagine Vincent saying those quotes but I never know when he is being tongue in cheek and when he is serious. I really hope that he and Flavia are OK. It would be a great shame if they split up over something and nothing. They lasted through all the comments last serise about Vincent and Louisa, didn't they.

Will we get the results on Saturday night? No stupid 'tape it on Saturday and show it on Sunday'?

Those of us going to Strictly Live - not sure it's been v well publicised that male slebs confirmed thus far are Matt DiAngelo, Darren Gough and Christopher Parker.

Re: Matt's glazed expression, I thought on Saturday it was more about trying not to cry when he was getting the judges comments. I would have been lying on the floor personally.

tribpot - I read on digital spy that the beeb had confirmed that the last week will all be finished on the Saturday night. I also found this:

I think that is a very good point about Matt being upset.
I know that it is different for the women but when Alesha and Matthew go wrong no one knows until they tell us all. Matt made a mistake and fell apart, speaks volumes for me - sadly.

Was surprised that Alesha was in the dance off...but that meant it wasn't really a dance off...because it was just so clear who would be going...but think Letitia was relieved.

But what am I going to do with my time when it is over .

Final has to be Alesha and Gethin and then I won't mind who wins and won't feel I have to vote.
I know Matt is only 20 but that is not a reason to vote for him. Blooming pitying British public again gah! He messed up, not once but twice....
I hope he proves me wrong on Sat though. That will make things interesting. I just get annoyed when someone is so obviously not as good and gets through (Kate and Kenny anyone??)

What's with this 'only 20' crap? It's not like he's a 14 year old prodigy, for crying out loud. He's a man.

Well, I haven't changed my mind, I still want Alesha to win, she deserves too. Yes Gethin has improved, beyond all recognition but, his dancing doesn't move me like Alesha's does.
