People used to slag off Mary Whitehouse for being a prude and spoiling everyone else's fun.

But she kept broadcast standards in the public eye, and I think we owe her a lot

CarpyDiem · 07/08/2021 15:25

They've not said how npmany complaints for this episode (yet, press have been asking and I'm sure the figure will emerge idc)

I saw a press report saying 4,800 icw postcard episode 28/07

Thus was far worse - not least as it was clear violation of the programmes own published standards on abusive behaviour (pp added a screen shot screen shot earlier in the thread)

Bedsheets4knickers · 07/08/2021 15:29

When she came and sat down with Teddy to dump him . My guess is she had already had a talk too by the producers .
She was much calmer for a while and she made a point of repeating " I asked you to not come and talk to me " .

PumpkinKlNG · 07/08/2021 15:45

It’s funny as people a few threads back were complaining about Them only being allowed two glasses now people are complaining they are giving them too much

Willwebebuyingnumber11 · 07/08/2021 16:04

Teddy is fast becoming the new Ovie.

A cool, mature & genuine man who knows who he is and what he stands for.

I hope Faye is removed before tomorrow’s episode.

Muggee · 07/08/2021 16:15

Random but looking at Amy days social media I wished we would have seen more of her, she seems really funny.

Aquarius1234 · 07/08/2021 16:16

Jake is.... funny how he lost his OTT cheeky charm last night.
Hated him since day 1 line up choosing.

Aquarius1234 · 07/08/2021 16:19

I thing Faye was almost acting in her swearing arguing. Almost put on. She wasnt hysterically breaking down going crazy.
It was reasonable controlled shouting.

Yes I thought this and alluded to it earlier. Normally when you see people shouting like that you can see the emotion in their face and eyes, that they are upset, but she didn’t have any of that, and it wasn’t the Botox.

I think an element of it was attention seeking to be honest. She was enjoying the drama and being the centre of attention

Which is beyond fucked up, because it would mean she was abusing and bullying teddy for the fun of it.

RevolvingPivot · 07/08/2021 16:38

How many have complained to Ofcom?

66babe · 07/08/2021 16:39

I think there was also an element of Faye expecting every man she meets to let her down , show his true colours , her be proved right that she should not open up to someone

Which may explain why she kept in control and did not appear too distressed ... in her mind ... she was looking , waiting and now proved right that he must be a knob
Totally disagree if course
I thought she was vile .. I feel embarrassed for her and hope she will not become a hated figure out in the real world
Teddy is a popular chap and has only shown himself to be polite respectful and "normal"

I think she wanted the sympathy vote from viewers to be honest.
hyperbole001 · 07/08/2021 16:46

@Monsteraobliqua

Absolutely not blaming him, he really didn't deserve any of that. I just mean you can't reason with that kind of self- righteous anger so it is best for all involved to stay out of the way. I think producers should have made that happen, not saying Teddy was responsible for managing the situation. I don't actually think she should have been brought back in afterwards, to be honest. Not good for her or Teddy but then I'd worry for her after leaving.
How do you know it wasn't the producers egging him on to approach her?

Let's please not play the 'Teddy should have left her alone' crap as a defense for her rage.

QueenBee52 · 07/08/2021 16:48

If this is the real Faye... 😳

its no wonder her relationships never work out.. 😕

She is screaming to everyone that Teddy has betrayed her .. thats rubbish.. and Im now doubting her saying that every guy she ever dated betrayed her... 🤔

They likely left because of all this horrid screeching.. her false accusations .. their own safety and mental well being.. 😏

Just a thought 🌸

Blamelesscars · 07/08/2021 16:57

And still ITV a had said nothing. I just think it’s completely shocking

Indeed.
Muggee · 07/08/2021 17:03

I think that she probably thought the public would be behind her as part of her jOuRnEy, alas no.

QueenBee52 · 07/08/2021 17:08

does anyone know the Ofcom complaints figure 🌸

CarpyDiem · 07/08/2021 17:10

According to the press, not yet released. It'll come out in a few days (typical timing, I think)
Blamelesscars · 07/08/2021 17:11

@QueenBee52 I don’t think they’ll have them all yet? They’ve only just published the postcard ones

RevolvingPivot · 07/08/2021 17:15

Did you see her reaction when her and Sam was shown? She was laughing with the girls. Didn't like it the other way around did she?

QueenBee52 · 07/08/2021 17:45

exactly ... she's just vile

Bedsheets4knickers · 07/08/2021 17:58

Tonight's unseen bits will be of Faye being lovely and funny . I bet they are at panic stations trying to damage control last nights show .

Newpuppymummy · 07/08/2021 18:00

It was horrible to watch. She was absolutely abusive to Teddy. As others have said imagine if a man was behaving like that towards a woman. They should have at the very least taken her and given her a warning and a chance to calm down.

I wonder what her family are thinking watching her go on like that?

CarpyDiem · 07/08/2021 18:01

Well, if they're likely to be showing lots of Faye, that's a good reason to watch something else
