For anyone wondering what Faye's family think, didn't her parents buy her fake books? So unlikely (though not impossible) they'll have a healthy and mature reaction.

'Fake books'? That explains a lot.

Faye herself described her own family as 'Brutal' in the context of Teddy perhaps not being a good fit with them. This might be another reason for her self sabotage. Basically, she knows they may come across as quite toxic to a rather polite and mild mannered chap like Teddy.

Blamelesscars · 07/08/2021 18:42

I imagine fates family don’t see anything wrong with her behaviour otherwise she would have been called out.

Interestingly I think most of this list applies to faye

Winemewhynot · 07/08/2021 18:43

Looking back she’s not been arsed about Teddy for a while, comments in casa about him not being funny and then sharing a bed and recoupling at the drop of a hat. Then the attack in his dress sense and the uncle ted remarks. Sounds like she’s been after an excuse to end it and gone for the most dramatic way possible to get the most telly time.

Or is she really a very very insecure girl and now this relationship is getting real her defences have gone up and she’s pushing him away? Either way she’s fucked it with her vile behaviour.

I was a fan of a Feddy but I’m done with her now.

I'm not sure they bought her any books at all!
NotJustACigar · 07/08/2021 18:47

I meant fake boobs of course but that was a good autocorrect Grin. It makes me think I've never actually seen books on love island whereas don't most people usually spend most of that kind of holiday reading?

I wonder what Teddy thought to Faye meeting his parents?. More like the other way round 😂

Hope his mums is watching.

BunnytheFriendlyDragon · 07/08/2021 18:52

But it's not a holiday @NotJustACigar they are on a tv show

I believe in big brother they are not allowed to take books on and I assume LI could be the same

There are a few things she has said about her family that seem a bit weird, but we obviously and rightly won't ever know what they're really like!
LimitIsUp · 07/08/2021 19:03

Sorry if I repeat anyone - not read whole thread Blush

They won't turf out Faye at the moment - she would be hounded and vilified by the public and the media for her unacceptable behaviour. They will surely take her to one side, explain how this has been received by the public, and give her a chance to make amends and improve public perception of her over the next few days - so that when she does go out the opprobrium will be more muted

I hope they do this. I hated how she was last night but no one deserves what she'll have to face if she leaves like this
Willwebebuyingnumber11 · 07/08/2021 19:11

Well Teddy didn’t deserve what he was subjected to last night either. She’s not stupid, she knows she’s on tv.

PumpkinKlNG · 07/08/2021 19:22

Tbf I know quite a few people’s parents who have paid for their boob jobs! It’s really not uncommon, (not Saying I particularly agree with it) and they are nothing like Faye

Cluelessbeetroot · 07/08/2021 19:22

Faye’s behaviour was revolting. If it was Teddy speaking to her like that, he’d have been removed from the situation by security and chucked out of the villa/show.

Imnothereforthedrama · 07/08/2021 19:32

Just caught up with last nights show , agreed Faye was shocking total overreaction . Saying that though if that was my daughter ( old enough) I’d be extremely upset how she was portrayed and that the producers didn’t step in to diffuse the situation. I think all of the other islanders were in shock at her behaviour a couple of the lads tried to speak up but it was uncomfortable to watch .
Nah I really think this is too much for love island all this be kind and they are doing there best to show the worst side of possibly quite a vulnerable young girl in my opinion.

PumpkinKlNG · 07/08/2021 19:35

Young girl?! She’s 26 😒

Imnothereforthedrama · 07/08/2021 19:39

That’s young like I say old enough to be my dd . Look I said it was shocking but I think love island are shocking too not diffusing the situation in the name of entertainment. She’s someone’s daughter, I’m really questioning how they do psychological checks etc . She’s extremely vulnerable, insecure and argumentative she should not be put on a show like this for entertainment she needs to go .
PumpkinKlNG · 07/08/2021 19:41

I just don’t think we should infantilise the constants, they are all adults and she knows right from wrong. But then I had 3 kids at fayes age 🤣

Imnothereforthedrama · 07/08/2021 19:45

So they deserve hate ? I think you need to take what you see with a pinch of salt . Agreed shocking behaviour but heavily manipulated by love island .

In that case, we truly have a generational problem on our hands. And LI and other similar shows aren't helping matters. I don't personally know anyone who's parents have paid for boob jobs. But then my DD is only 9, so it may be down to that. The only person I know who has had breast enhancement (as opposed to reduction, who I know of a few) is my ex husbands new wife. And she is still insecure, with very low self esteem. So perhaps the time has come for people to realise that it doesn't fix the problem. Rather somewhat exacerbates it. I have to admit, I find it akin to bodily mutilation how far some will go. It is an area that really needs better moderation. Like many other aspects of modern society (gambling for instance) It is sold as a dream, a fix, a resolution to all problems. Interesting, but terribly terribly sad.
Chicchicchicchiclana · 07/08/2021 19:51

I've re-watched. Do you know? Faye was enjoying it. She had a big ironic grin on her face watching the clip of Teddy and you could see her calculating what she was going to do and when she was going to do it. She said to some of the other girls "well that wasn't so bad, was it?" re Casa Amor.

Jake was furious about it but to give him some credit he quickly turned the subject around to Liberty and her feelings when she asked him for a chat (albeit he didn't respond in a way that you'd hope). Liam, Toby and one other (maybe Matt) were up on the roof terrace and saying Faye Being Faye was wearing thin and they were tired of her yelling and screeching at everyone from a distance. Dale was doing her a kindness trying to calm her down but she was shut him down too. I honestly can't believe she has much support from in the villa just now. Even calm and mature Millie was pulling a shocked face at the way she laid into Teddy.
