I do not understand Faye at all. At. All. Teddy didn't deserve that. And she's shot herself in the foot of any chance of staying on the island/finding someone there now. Self sabotage at its finest...

Bluntness100 · 07/08/2021 10:18

@MrsHastingslikethebattle

People are so quick to label her an abuser etc.

She was upset with a guy she was falling for. He made himself out to be Mr Innocent Hugging her Teddy every night and he wasnt.

Yes she went over board, but abuse? Wow. Over an argument on a edited show? No wonder contestants commit suicide and have mental health problems.

I’m actually a little concerned for you in that you don’t recognize fayes abusive behaviour as abuse. Her shouting, aggression, name calling, insults, was deeply abusive.

Most people are shocked and recognize it for what it is. It’s concerning you can’t or don’t wish to recognize it.

TellingBone · 07/08/2021 10:20

It's a shame that popularity poll was taken before this kicked off 😁

SueSaid · 07/08/2021 10:20

@TobysGreatAunt

I wonder whether Faye will have a job to return to.

Wasn't she an estate agent or something ?

Not sure what she does but this will have a negative impact on her life. Nobody wants to see such blatant bullying and aggression. She has massive self esteem and anger management issues but this can't be a surprise to her family and friends. Why didn't anyone advise her not to do it, she was obviously going to unravel.

Faye is too angry and emotionally immature to cope with it. When she comes home she'll play the victim, 'Love Island portrayed me all wrong it was the editing!' crap.

MamaRaisingBoys · 07/08/2021 10:22

Did no one else get the impression Faye had been sent for a break/chat by the producers? I don’t know if I’m remembering properly, but Ian said she’d been for a break, was this after her shouting and screaming across the villa, then when she came back she was slightly calmer to sit down with Teddy? Still not calm enough though, poor man couldn’t get a word in edgeways, but that’s the impression I got. Maybe Ian just meant she took herself off for 5 mins though, or shut up for a little while!

ChequerBoard · 07/08/2021 10:25

Yes, Faye's behaviour was definitely abusive. On top of the shouting, aggression and things others have noted, the clear indicator for me was the browbeating on any and everyone that tried to engage with her.

She was refusing to let Teddy or Dale get a word in edgewise while she repeatedly ranted her narrative and louder and louder volume, using aggressive language and physical gestures.

This is the kind of behaviour you see in a lot of domestic violence situations. The abuser 'knows' they are right and refuse to allow any deviation from their chosen narrative of any situation. Over time the victim stops trying, agrees with whatever is said and does anything for a quiet life whilst keeping their head and their shoulders down.

Disgusting behaviour, she should be removed and provided with counselling.

I thought the same. She seemed much calmer and more composed then went straight downhill again.
RevolvingPivot · 07/08/2021 10:30

I've liked Chloe and Toby ever since they got together the first time. Toby has matured massively.

Imagine if Teddy had a temper like Faye? My DH can shout but I think if we were both the same we would have some right rows.

I still like Liam and Millie.

Abi needs to go.

TheTallOakTrees · 07/08/2021 10:30

@HotAndGrumpy

What's wrong here is that Teddy has received a barrage of abuse including; multiple fingers, sworn at, clothes ridiculed, called a liar, personality assassination, gaslit, blanked, screamed at and humiliated......in front of everyone.

Why does anyone think this is OK. It definitely wouldnt be if this was reversed.

I'd be worried about Teddy's MH to be honest. He is really sensitive and mild mannered.

Faye is abusive and if not removed, needs voting off ASAP.

100%

It's wrong, it's vile and there is no excuse

RevolvingPivot · 07/08/2021 10:32

I can't stand Fayes sarcasm and one liners and the sticking out of the tongue. Has anyone seen any SM posts from her friends and family? What's she like in real life?

carriehagshaw · 07/08/2021 10:33

@Bluntness100

I think it’s interesting she got into the bed next to teddy, so there is clearly more to come. She wants to be there when he wakes up, I really hope he tells her to fuck off
She didn't, he slept in the doghouse bed
Tistheseason17 · 07/08/2021 10:35

Faye was terrible last night and I do think she has issues. These isdyes may be a reason for her behaviour but they are certainly not an excuse.

Got me wondering if the producers repeatedly told Teddy to go up to her after she said stay away.

And Matt sat back eating popcorn like a James Bond villain - stroking a cat would have completed the look - priceless!

I just looked at her IG and someone been posting everyday up until 3 days ago... probably too embarrassed
RevolvingPivot · 07/08/2021 10:46

@carriehagshaw 😳

I don't watch after sun or extra bits but I've read on here family members have been on. Has Fayes?

I think the edit probably doesn't help, without seeing the whole evening hard to tell if he approached her directly after she said it. He probably thought as it was affecting the whole villa and she was angry at him he wanted to try and calm it down. I agree with a PP who said she might have had a break away from everything as she did seem notably calmer (before escalating again).
AngeloMysterioso · 07/08/2021 10:47

@londonscalling

Anyway, I can't remember Teddy's sandals. What was so awful about them? I really need a photo if anyone can help! Grin
Haven’t they all been wearing ugly sandals though? Faye had bloody crocs on at one point…

I felt so sorry for Liberty, she looked broken and Jake didn't have the capacity to comfort and reassure her.

Mummyoflittledragon · 07/08/2021 10:48

I didn’t spot the popcorn bit. Or Matt at all. Was that at the beginning of the show?

vjg13 · 07/08/2021 10:48

I can only remember Liam's sandals.

66babe · 07/08/2021 10:49

@AngeloMysterioso Jake wears socks and crocs !!!

TheTallOakTrees · 07/08/2021 10:52

@JacquelineCarlyle

Goodness, I feel like I'm watching a different show to everyone else - I don't think Faye did anything wrong. Teddy deliberately lied to her and she's not accepting that. Fair play to her. She might be shouty and that means she seems like she's in the wrong but she's perfectly entitled to her feelings and she's loud and happy to verbalise that.
What the heck you say fair play to her just wow

She screeching the night before after her click shown then swearing and shouting at everyone saying she 'would fall out with every prick in here' vile abusive. Shouting so loud everyone could hear her personal comments, dragging everyone in, the faye show. No tears, just vile behaviour and you say fair play to her

Didiusfalco · 07/08/2021 10:54

@newplanneeded - thanks, I might skip last nights then. I found Thursday’s uncomfortable enough, poor Teddy.

TheTallOakTrees · 07/08/2021 10:55

That was sad. I'd rather see more of the chat with Chloe some rational behaviour than what was shown. Liberty seems sweet and gentle and hurt.
RevolvingPivot · 07/08/2021 10:55

What did Faye do in the bedroom? I thought she went from the bedroom into the room where the singles sleep but did she just get her teddy (the soft toy one ☺️) and get back in her own bed?!

Willwebebuyingnumber11 · 07/08/2021 11:01

Is Faye aiming for some kind of Megan McKenna infamy? I’m still really upset this morning and seeing the tear roll down Teddy’s face in the beach hut.
He was verbally abused, intimidated, mocked for his clothing, belittled and screamed at.

I feel he will give women a wide berth now, although I hope he knows his worth.
