Faye was absolutely awful, wouldn't let Teddy answer and when he did get a comment in she was twisting what he said.

I don't think she has mental health problems like some have said. She's a bully, pure and simple. She was thoroughly enjoying her performance last night.

Mickarooni · 07/08/2021 09:11

@CoolKitkat

After Caroline Flack's 'domestic incident' and the sad outcome of how that unfolded, I really would have thought that the producers would have been a bit more sensitive to such drama/abuse and how it's dealt with. A fine line has been crossed here.
Well, quite.

Faye’s behaviour was totally unacceptable. However, the show isn’t live. There was an active decision on the part of the producers to edit it and air it.

Blamelesscars · 07/08/2021 09:13

Yes she’s a bully and she enjoys it. There have been glimpses all series. If a man did what she did no one would be talking about his past pain or MH they would all him an abuser

Also love island response is shocking! They tweeted a clip and called it actual poetry in motion. People have been calling them out / asking for a response to the situation on Twitter and they’ve ignored it but happily tweet positive vibes to Jake and Liberty!

Jake don’t need positive vibes LIBERTY does. Jake is almost as bad as faye with his manipulative gaslighting behaviour and no support for Teddy a man who was reduced ro tears by a abusive woman

TellingBone · 07/08/2021 09:14

As @FightingtheFoo said earlier

No it's not the film of Teddy that's triggered her - it's the film of her and Sam. She feels guilty and embarrassed so has gone on the offensive.

This is what started it all. The whole thing was to prevent any possible questioning of her own behaviour. I've lived with someone who hectored in this manner. It's cold and clinical and relentless and the other party is given no opportunity to reply, to question - they are simply shouted down until they give up.

If I had behaved like that I would remove myself from the villa with shame. But if Faye is true to form she will be able to carry on as normal - mission accomplished; got away with the Sam thing.

I'm a newbie to LI so may have this completely wrong - but timing wise - was this actually filmed Weds pm? We saw some footage Thursday pm and the rest last night. So by the time the edited film went out the producers would already have another 2 days of aftermath?? So maybe Faye does another self-critique and Teddy forgives her? Thus needing all the abuse to be shown... IYSWIM?

I think Teddy would be wrong to forgive her behaviour. As PP has said -Faye was enjoying it. She cannot allow anyone to appear to 'put one over' on her even if that means cutting off her nose to spite her face.

Bluntness100 · 07/08/2021 09:33

I think it’s interesting she got into the bed next to teddy, so there is clearly more to come. She wants to be there when he wakes up, I really hope he tells her to fuck off

hahahayoumustbejoking · 07/08/2021 09:33

@Bluntness100

Thinking about it and watching it back. there seemed no real anger or fury or even real emotion behind her behaviour. She was shouting and attacking but I did not actually see any emotion and, her face wasn’t all angry. She didn’t look like she wanted to cry. She didn’t seem out of control of herself. Whenever I see someone shout and abuse like that you can see the anger or upset in their faces, there was none of that with Faye. I’m

It was like she was show boating, attention seeking. Like this is her normal go to behaviour. There’s no doubt she’s abusive and a bully, but I actually think a lot of it was attention seeking.

I mean this genuinely and not in a goady way, but she's had so much Botox her face would struggle to show emotion in that way. She has said this herself at one point.

Did she? I thought Teddy slept in the bed in the other room (the one that comes out if the wall) on his own.

ChequerBoard · 07/08/2021 09:40

I agree, Liberty has been crystal clear that she has deep insecurities about her looks. She is the only one there that has several quite intense weeks invested what she thinks is a viable relationship and is therefore much more likely to be hurt deeply that annoy of the Millie/Liam or Faye/Teddy dramas.

If Jake cared about her he would have been right there by her side telling her how gorgeous he found her and how strong his feelings for her are. Unless we just aren't being shown it, he says nothing about how he feels, but is always asking her and enjoying her positive response whilst giving nothing back.

I really hope she is strong enough not be be damaged by Jake (and the producers) vile manipulation of her feelings and good heart.

Steakandcheeseplease · 07/08/2021 09:41

Faye didn't show emotion on her face as it unable do so with the amount of botox and fillers. She can do wide eyed and a upside-down grimace, thats about it. She has gave herself a instagram face.

I'd be really interested to know what Fayes parents are like as that kind of behaviour is learned. Thats not some one cheating on you, thats knowing how to get a room to keep their mouths shut by using threatening body and verbal language.

"I'll fall out with every single prick in here'

That was her telling every one - including the girls to not challenge her behaviour.

Its not the girls responsibility to talk her down. They are probably all ready well aware of her behaviour, especially after how she shouted at Chloe, which to be fair should have nipped in the bud then. Its was aggressive and bullying already at such an early start in the show. The girls have no loyalties to her, they know its only for a few weeks. If you give some one enough rope they will hang themselves - which Faye did last night. And yes I agree, Faye is probably one of those people 'that call a spade a spade' when in reality they are just really fucking rude and horrible.

Jake was so incensed at Faye calling him out, when Liberty came over to him her worries seemed minuscule in the rage he was feeling and I think thats why he was lost for words and could only come out with shite reasoning he did. He will talk her round though and they are too far in the game and she too will want the prize money.

If Toby and Chloe win, he will legit take the whole prize money and people will say 'ah Tobes. you little tike!'

The stars of the show for me now are Matt & Teddy. Can we have a same sex winning couple this year ?

Bluntness100 · 07/08/2021 09:41

Bouledeneige · 07/08/2021 09:43

I do hope that in the next episode some of the girls tell Faye that she was completely out of order. She really should not be pandered to or allowed to think she had any justification for her conduct. I really do hope that she apologises to Teddy (some chance!) but I really hope he has nothing more to do with her. He can do so much better.

I think she will struggle when she leaves the show as she will discover how unpopular she is and how few men will want to go anyway near her.

Unfortunately I think some men will take see her behaviour as typical female irrationality and not as the outlier. It is totally unacceptable behaviour and not typical.

TheTallOakTrees · 07/08/2021 09:43

@hyperbole001

Faye is very very spiteful. Horrible person
She even picked fights with people that did nothing. Her problem is she is always right and a perpetual victim role when in reality she is a bully a vile with it. Can never be wrong

Only just watching it

I think she went and grabbed something and then went back to her own bed alone, but not 100%.
MrsHastingslikethebattle · 07/08/2021 09:45

People are so quick to label her an abuser etc.

She was upset with a guy she was falling for. He made himself out to be Mr Innocent Hugging her Teddy every night and he wasnt.

Yes she went over board, but abuse? Wow. Over an argument on a edited show? No wonder contestants commit suicide and have mental health problems.

Ughmaybenot · 07/08/2021 09:46

Gosh. Just finished last nights episode on catch up and frankly was appalled. Faye was completely out of control, although I do agree that an element of it was attention seeking. To paraphrase her own words, I think she genuinely would’ve fallen out with absolutely everyone in the villa, had they had the audacity to exist or speak near her. Nasty, abusive person.
I respect Dale massively for trying to speak some reason to her, and for not just ‘rolling over’, so to speak, when she was awful to him too. She’s so universally disliked by the guys in the villa, and I think must have been for a while, from the way they spoke. Certainly Dale, Matt, Liam and Jake (albeit jake because he was on the sharp end of her tongue for his own shitty behaviour) spoke about it last night.
Poor Teddy. His face in the ‘diary room’ Sad

Oh, and re the Malin/Kady set to in season two (I think?) they were screaming at each other following the drink being spilled. Malin was only removed from the house when she physically attacked Kady, I believe by grabbing her hair.

I don't think she was falling for him . She was looking for any excuse to leave the coupling . She had already said she wasn't sure he was the one for her .
Ughmaybenot · 07/08/2021 09:49

Oh, one final thought 😂 I was disappointed with Abi, Kaz (altho not surprised at Kaz) and, to a degree, Millie for sticking so closely to Faye, altho I think with Abi, that’s probably an intimidation thing. To quote a hobbit, the closer you are to danger, the farther you are from harm!
I rather liked that Chloe and Toby took themselves out of it (for the most part).

'I will fall out with every prick in here'

She was aggressive to every one and 100% abusive to Teddy. He was visibly upset. He didnt deserve that. So what he found some one sexually attractive. That didnt merit the barrage of abuse she gave him

They were just protecting themselves. Its like when you have a dick head bullying boss and people kiss their arse just to stay out of the firing line
TobysGreatAunt · 07/08/2021 09:55

I wonder whether Faye will have a job to return to.

Wasn't she an estate agent or something ?

CoolKitkat · 07/08/2021 10:03

@MrsHastingslikethebattle I'd be interested to understand your definition of abuse?

In my book, it's not just physical violence.

The premise of the show is that it's 'reality TV' - so this isn't supposed to be scripted / play-acting, it's meant to be real emotion. Therefore, this is real abuse.

Ughmaybenot · 07/08/2021 10:06

Yea I think you’re right @Steakandcheeseplease and it’s very easy for me to be critical without being in that horrible situation. Must have been awful, for all of them.

Chicchicchicchiclana · 07/08/2021 10:14

Faye did two malapropisms because she isn't terribly well educated (she didn't know the difference between bought and brought remember) not because she was pissed. She's a strong, tall girl - I'm sure she can hold her alcohol well enough that that wasn't really a factor in her being so horrible to Teddy.

All those shots of her stalking around the empty decking looking for someone else to pay her attention - it's pathetic really, when you think about it.

OTOH Matthew with his popcorn was my favourite moment to date in the villa and I'm pleased so many of you also noticed and loved it Grin.
