Ok I’m an episode behind, so maybe I’ve missed something, but one thing that really really annoys me when soaps portray a miscarriage - they’re told they’ve lost this baby, who was far along enough to know what sex they are, yet then she’s home from the hospital an hour later with no mention of delivering the baby.
It just adds to people’s misconception that ‘losing’ a baby means the baby just disappears. In reality, if she was far enough along to know the sex then she would have needed to have medical management and actually give birth.
It was the same when Maria had a miscarriage (last year?) which was after her 12 week scan.

Personally I find the whole way they have dealt with both deeply insulting to anyone who has experienced it

My main concern was Emma getting her white trousers dirty while rummaging around the smoke damaged flat.
Did Hope definitely take the keys? Wasn't there a close up shot if myserious hands picking the keys up or did I invent that?

My DH was half watching it last night, he doesn't follow Corrie, but said 'she did it' when Fizz was on the screen.
Could it have been Fizz who is now furious that it's being blamed on Hawpe so the only choice is to do a runner?
DH has done these sweeping statements before and been right!

@Roussette - we saw Hope in the flat and we saw her looking around. We didn't see her strike a match, but there were lingering shots of the candle and a bottle of nail varnish remover and the cot whilst she was there.

I don't think Fizz did it. She's annoying, but a good person and not cruel.
Or it would be one pretty huge character blip if she did! which wouldn't surprise me from the writers of CS

I think robots were mentioned ages ago when she first appeared.

Proof of how little thought they give to characters personality and background these days. A hobby only exists if it’s crucial to the story in one episode then it’s forgotten about forever. No one has hobbies. Back in the day jacks pigeons were a constant background storyline. Curly’s telescope and star gazing. Roy’s bat perseveration society. Never hear about that now.

Occasionally Todd and Sarah have a chat, as if they remember their relationship long ago. Todd and Nick seem to avoid each other, I suppose they both have new heads.

He’ll have to surely? Ruby’s mother has just abandoned her without even saying goodbye. (Weeks after her birth mother also dying!) She has no parent at home. He can’t really just leave Evelyn to deal with that. He must move back home and parent his child.

Right so I’ve watched again.

Fizz and hope both leave the house at the same time. Hope slightly after. Then it shows hope walking into the flat, kicks the cot, lifts her dinosaur teddy and turns to look at the candle that is burning on the windowsill with a bottle of nail varnish remover on the countertop in the foreground. Next scene hope sneaks through the back door past snoozing Evelyn and up the stairs. Seconds later fizz comes back saying to Evelyn “sorry I was so long dev didn’t have any chianti”.

So if it was fizz, she did it after hope left the flat but she must have been incredibly fast as she literally walks through the door just as hope darts up the stairs. Also fizz didn’t have a key, hope did, that’s how she got in. Unless hope left the door unlocked? And how would fizz know the door would be unlocked?

I’ve just watched last nights episode again and no, hope doesn’t admit it. She is asked why she set the fire and she says she didn’t and then asks for a PB sandwich and then later she says she just wanted to get Emily brontosaurus and didn’t know Alina was there. But she never says or agrees. that she set the fire. Earlier in the episode when they’re alone fiz says “I want to talk to you about the fire in daddy’s flat” and hope looks at her toybox, fizz asks what’s in it, goes to look and finds the keys and the dinosaur. Fiz presents to Tyrone that she believes hope did it and Tyrone accepts this. But privately fizz never says to hope that she knows she did it. So maybe she knows hope didn’t??

Yeah I’m thinking it wasn’t her either. So fiz? Or someone else altogether but fiz thinks it was hope?

Knowing the current Corrie writers, it'll be some random we've never heard of who set the fire. Fizz sets a lot of store by Tyrone being Hawp's dad even though she's not biologically his yet was willing to bugger off and leave Ruby. And when Fizz was giving the excuse that Hawp was a psycho because she has Stape blood in her veins, I wanted Tyrone to argue that Kirsty was a violent pyscho but Ruby turned out alright.

Yep. It’ll be wee Jimmy who was mates with Debbie in primary school and she stole his pencil or something so he hunted her down years later and heard she owned the flat recently so decided to torch it in an act of revenge.

And wee Jimmy will end up sewing knickers and shagging Billy.
