Well, it was somewhat sitcom/cartoon-esque when Victoria said ‘What’s the worst that could happen?’ just before they all plunged to their doom I half-expected Wiley Coyote to pop up, flattened with stars circling his head.

Why couldn’t the producers have used this storyline to rid us of the odious Wendy, or the harmless but pointless Amy? I think Emmerdale is in need of a cast clearout. Surely no one thinks we need Dan and Amelia anymore?

Yes get rid of Amy and Wendy and Dan Emmerdale needs a good clear out . Keep Mackenzie I like him

I feel a bit sorry for the Amy actress, as I can see why they brought the character back - it must have looked like quite a juicy part at the time. A custody battle with Cain; a key role in the Cain/Moira/Nate triangle… the problem is that now that’s all long over, and with Kerry having simply evaporated from view during Covid, there’s very little for her to do. Hence she hangs around in the background of Victoria’s and Ethan’s stories.

Maybe Kim could be right about Jamie being alive, and he actually fled with the help of Jan Glover, who is now a multi-millionairess, but still deludes herself that ‘our Dave’ was Jamie’s father. Roy could ride on a white charger as peacemaker, resolve it all, then buy The Woolpack to save it from the rubbish redevelopment storyline I just know is coming after Al bought into it…
