@WomanStanleyWoman Amy is far from harmless. She was responsible for Frank's death and I'll never forgive her for that!!

I suppose I meant ‘harmless’ more in that she’s not an irritant in the way Meena or Wendy is (to me at least) - but yes, it is odd that her role in Frank’s death has been as good as forgotten. I think it’s partly down to that that the scriptwriters don’t know where to take her - that and the absence of Kerry.

It’s funny, I don’t think Kerry is a particularly essential character - I can’t say I miss her at all - but her exit has made spare parts of Dan and Amelia as well as Amy. They tried to make Amy useful by putting her with Matty, but he hasn’t really been particularly interesting in a long time either. Two spare parts don’t make one interesting whole.

Old head Amy would never have done what new head Amy did wrt the money and fire and keeping quiet and franks death.

Imagine being the matty actor and your partner asks you how work was today.

“Oh it was great. I walked from the living room to the kitchen and put my coat on. Told Moira I was going to check the fence in the top field. I’ve got some time off now for a few weeks.”

Yes Matty has become somewhat redundant now they've done the whole transexual storyline. He doesn't get any stories of his own apart from that ridiculous burning of his hands on the BBQ.

The pub had no money to pay him anything so I think Cain secretly paid his compensation without telling Moira.
