I think Hugo is pissed off that he isn’t the alpha male in the group and isn’t getting the most attention from the girls there. He is very obviously the last choice option and I don’t think that sits well with him at all.

I also think he has the same mind set as the awful Danny - he wants a ‘top tier’ girl to be his trophy girlfriend so everyone can envy him. That’s why he went for Chloe because all the other guys chose her in the vote early on, forget what for now, was most fanciable or something equally daft?

I think the reason Hugo is being selective is he is looking for someone who will fit in with his family. I suspect he wants someone who is friendly and well spoken frankly. And they need to like Hugo. I hope he finds someone.

If that’s what he’s looking for he’s gone on the wrong show!

I think it’s much more likely that he’s just not confident enough for the format of the show, he’s much more the type to become friends first then try it on, as he did with Chloe whereas LI needs you to work fast and not be shy to put your feelings out there. The producers in their excitement to have their first disabled contestant have chosen someone who’s disability doesn’t really require any adjustment to the villa or challenges and have overlooked that he’s not got the right personality for LI.

I don’t think Hugo is the alpha in his friendship group either, I remember when Chuggs walked in he saw Hugo and said “what are you doing here?” and the emphasis was very much on the you, and the other boys kept teasing Hugo that Chuggs would tell them something embarrassing about him and he looked very nervous.

I dont think Hugo is particularly well spoken. Maybe he is more outside the show. He has a bit of a lisp or stutter talking? Something a bit off. Bit clunky.
Hardly a great voice imo

Hes quite stilted and awkward when in flowing conversation.

I didn't think Georgia spoke that well and she didn't come across as friendly in the clip teaching elocution to Lucinda, I thought she was quite rude to Lucinda. I didn't think she was very nice and wasn't surprised that Hugo wasn't interested.

As much as we can't force the men in the villa to be attracted to dark skin women we can't expect Hugo to jump on anyone he isn't attracted to for the sake of it.
How shit would it be if he cracked on with someone because he felt like he should lower his standards and then a bombshell comes in that ticks all the boxes and likes him. He's going to be leading someone on and using them and then hurting them.
His honesty is something to respect about him.
The way he moves his mouth around, sneers and cringingly uses slang... Hate those parts of him.

I think Georgia was rude but at the same time I actually think she was letting Lucinda know what people were saying about her and that was probably the only way she could do (I don’t know how much they can tell them about the outside world) but in a way I think she was trying to give her the heads up how she was coming across! It’s a shame Lucinda didn’t stay longer actually because I wanted to see if she did change the way she spoke 😂

This is a really good point, he did look so uncomfortable that Chuggs was there. Shame he went so soon actually, I was quite fond of him.

I wonder how much is producer led and how much is just the contestants now knowing what's expected.

Hugo seems to mirror the boys behaviour rather then be himself, hes seriously creeping me out.
