Sorry to sound a bit thick but what is a BNOC?

BNOC - Big Name On Campus.

Usually they keep the original islanders who don't couple up with someone new if their partner has recouped in casa amor. More drama that way. Georgia in 2018 was spectacular when Josh recoupled with Kaz in Casa Amor. Similarly Amber in 2019 when Michael picked Joanna. Amber called Joanna a 'dead ting' and the producers sent Amber and Joanna on an awkward 'date' to thrash things out. In 2019 Anna picked Ovie in Casa Amor and left Jordan single, drama ensued, then Anna switched back to Jordan and lost it big time when Jordan cracked on with India later in the series, whilst still coupled with Anna.

If they dumped people like Kaz and Millie in the event they are left single after Casa Amor every girl left in the villa whilst the boys are in Casa Amor would recouple to stay safe and they'd be overrun with couples.

I am surprised that the men are going for Lillie rather than Mary. I just don’t think that Lillie is that attractive

The new guys that have gone in to the original villa didn't really have much about them, so not really a test for the girls in the same way as the CA guys have had. No comparison really. Not that I think the girls would have strayed anyway (well, may be Abi might have).

I think Kaz is really sweet with the Irish lad, can't remember his name. I think they'd make a cute couple.

I think Mary is much more attractive than Lillie too. I think Lillie's lip fillers aren't well done and she has that weird look of her whole top lip protruding too much.

The first time they did casa amor the single originals did get dumped from the island after the casa amor recouplings although I think it was only Dom who went and he wasn't bothered as he had Jess on the outside (they're still together google tells me !) which meant on off couples like Kem and amber randomly coupled up to save themselves which was good drama but I think the producers realised they risked losing big characters if they kept this part- eg Georgia, Wes, amber all were single after casa amor and would have been a bit pants if they'd gone at that stage.

Just started season 1, as I've only watched from 4 onwards.
There's more drama in episode 1 than the whole of this season so far!
And the diversity in the cast is great, not just in terms of race but their hairstyles, features, one is a mum! And they don't all have blown up lips and boobs.
Weird watching Caroline though.

I think the reason Hugo is being selective is he is looking for someone who will fit in with his family. I suspect he wants someone who is friendly and well spoken frankly. And they need to like Hugo. I hope he finds someone.

Her name is Rachel. There's a bloke on there called Jonathan who's a joker but funny. One bloke during the first coupling up stepped forward 4 times!

I was thinking about a mum going on the other day, I don’t think any would, imagine how much absolute criticism she would get for leaving her kids to go on! There was a father who went on the show and his ex ran to the papers to slate him, can only imagine how much worst criticism a woman would get since women (especially mothers) are judged more harshly, so don’t think we will get another mother on!

The way they're all asking to each other is so organic and natural, and entertaining! One of the girls had a dodgy photo with OD Zayn, and now they're all talking about it.
Such a nice change from this season.

I understand the cast each series knowing the format and the way it works etc.
And them being more plastic and fake is just a trend maybe...
But theres no excuse for everything being set up and forced conversations.
Therea no excuse for the newer series being awful.

I am a LI veteran. I started watching with DH since series 1 and the more popular the show got the more you can see the changes.

Back then the drama and what the islanders were getting up to was like a tv drug. You wanted more and more! Now I am just thinking bring on the final and be done with it.

I have to agree there were different types of people back then on the show. Jonathan didn't even have a 'gym body' or the model looks but he brought personality and character.

Best seasons I would say are season 2 and 3. It gradually started going downhill after that.

If this is true he really should have been weeded out before getting on the show.
