I'm a LI virgin, so to speak. Dd is now 13 and wanted to watch so I'm watching with her. I like to insert little sermons on performative femininity for her benefit. Why yes, she adores my company.

It shows really painfully that in a group like this, there's a pecking order and if you end up low down, it damages a person's standing to date them. Hugo and AJ both seem to be there. Will be interesting to see who they pick. Hugo's pick will at least be glad to be saved (as "friends" to save face) but AJ's pick won't even have that.

I think Hugo doesn't like aj because of her age. When she was talking about a five year plan and he wouldn't want anything too series but at 34 she'd definitely need to be thinking about kids if she wants them.

I remember Paige in Winter LI being wary of Finn as he was only 21. But she gave him a chance and they’re still together. They are a cute couple.

@Tootshoots she'd be 34 in 5years so when she was discussing where Hugo would be in 5 years he'd only be 29 and she'd be 34.

aj also looks about ten years older, fyi. and i know we should be kind but i think she's horrendous.

also it's not got much dare i say it: feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeels this season. all a bit blaaahhhh and lacking the chutzpah (only put that in because i love that word) than it could have.
i'd sooner watch them all eat dinner tbh. i bet some juicy stuff goes on there.
i bet aj has a list of dietary requirements longer than sharon's obviously impeccable cv.

she's so boring.. she has no personality and the 'civil servant' thing is literally all she has to say about herself ... we all took bets how long it would be before she mentioned this 🤣
She drains the life out of every date as soon as she starts to express herself and her life plan.. you can see them fall into a deep comfy sleep.. 😳

I watched the last 2 series with my 13 year old! I enjoyed those more to be honest. I also insert little sermons! 🤣

I’ve not found it as interesting this time around, maybe because they seem particularly shallow and self obsessed this series, if that is possible and that the guys only seem to want to get to know the blonde girls. Is this the same in real life now?

I think the only think that could boost AJ's standing in the villa now would be if she shocked everyone and said she'd like to couple up with Sharon! Thereby saving both of them and maybe getting rid of Hugo.
I don't really see what anyone has against AJ other than the "eyes on the prize" comment? She's older yes and she's having to graft really hard but I guess it's her desperation that has turned everyone off?

I haven't watched the first few series of LI so I've gone a bit retro and watched a few today (no judging, is fluffing hot out there, safer to stay in )

Firstly, I miss Caroline. I know the current season is different due to covid but Caroline totally added something - her links feel so genuine. This makes me so sad.

Secondly, most of the guys first in on season one are absolutely odious, like properly odious. The twins they bought in a few episodes in were even bloody worse! What the guys were saying about Lauren was so wrong, and of course when it comes to needing to be saved by her they are behaving predictably and feigning interest. I know we have commented that sometimes things are a bit vanilla in the current series but if it helps avoid these kind of scenes then lets keep the vanilla.

Going to carry on watching series 1 to see if I feel any different at the end!

That would be the most interesting thing that has happened all series, but somehow I doubt it will occur to her

Yes they said that AJ gets to choose first and Danny gets to choose first because they are the last ones in so I'm assuming that means they can't pick each other

Danny is less physically attractive than some of the other boys but he seems to have a lot of personality.

I personally think Love Island Unseen Bits should contain 100% unseen content only.
Ps I went into my local small city centre and saw many young women that were loads more attractive and non surgery I'm guessing.
I wanted to shout have you applied for love island.. I can tell you would be 10 x more interesting.
2 girls similar walking along similar to Kaz and Liberty only hotter... and probably more intelligent.
It made me realise not everyone under 28 is insta and filler obsessed
