I thought it even stranger as when he was mimicking her it was clear he could see she has no substance but he'd rather have that than some one he can actually have a meaningful relationship with. In fact didn't he say that his last relationship ended because he went purely for looks and there was nothing more so he clearly doesn't learn.

I agree with you, but it’s not just Danny sadly, it seems to be all the boys who want a slim, pretty blonde. They all pretend they’re happy until someone prettier, blonder and slimmer comes in.
Here’s hoping they’ve just picked a bad bunch of guys this year and that all normal guys aren’t this shallow.
I know people say that boys think with they’re ’s, but I’d always thought that the nice ones liked a girl with more substance, but this lot are proving me wrong!
