Danny seems like he's full of anger!

Dancingonmoonlight · 19/07/2021 23:53

I think I'd go with Teddy or Liam and Millie as my favourites. I like Millie, she's fun. Liberty seems ok too.
One boy is more awful than the next. Hugo, Toby, Danny are particularly awful.

Mixmeup · 20/07/2021 00:17

I don't get people saying 'Just cos he looks like that doesn't mean Danny is any type of way'. He chose to look like that and you're not telling me he doesn't know what kind of 'look' that is.

Therefore he wants to look like that type - so he probably is that type.

He's a nasty man I reckon.

Danny only "dumped" Lucinda because he realised he might be in with a chance with AJ. The look on his face when Lucinda didn't pie him was awful. Well played by Lucinda though.

Liberty looked really uncomfortable when Jake was snogging Kaz. She was smiling but looked away and said she was fine when she clearly wasn't. Poor girl, she's so much more into him than he is her.
Chloe and Toby have no chemistry whatsoever. The shot of the tissue in the Hideaway was grim.
Loving Faye and like her and Teddy. Likewise Liam and Millie. I wasn't sure about them individually but now they are together I think they could win. They've both massively come out of themselves and are so cute.
Hugo is terrified of AJ. Totally out of his league and think she picked him as a safe bet. Hence her running straight to Danny tonight. He's got far more about him. Even if I do think he's a nasty piece of work. Maybe we'll see a better side of him with someone more his equal.

Puffalicious · 20/07/2021 00:46

@bumblenbean

I really can’t be doing with Lucinda. Granted Danny is a bit of a twat but she is totally Playing the situation - it was him that said let’s call it quits and she was straight over to Arron saying it was her and dropped in that Danny said she’s still the fittest in there Hmm she absolutely loves herself. She has no chat at all, she just seems to float around keeping tabs on who fancies her. Brad was forgotten in an instant too! She is obviously beautiful but she has a really unattractive personality from what I can see.
Bang on. I want to smash the TV again! She lives up to every stereotype of women I hate. She's not a bitch (Sharon/ Faye) but that's about it. Stirring, little witch!

Danny handled himself very well, I reckon.

PhantomMyOpera · 20/07/2021 01:34

Cannot stand Lucinda, Chloe or Toby. Lucinda seems completely vapid. Found it hilarious watching her react to Danny's dumping of her - she clearly hasn't experienced it before and it definitely didn't sit right...as shown by her then going for an ego boost reminding Aaron he dumped Sharon the day she entered.

I think it is a shame they let her into the villa honestly, as she's so young and I don't think she has matured enough yet to develop a proper personality or any sort of emotional intelligence. She is very much still a child playing at relationships and I think the same of Toby too. I definitely think she's only on the show for the PR opportunities for her online store and her Instagram.

Chloe.....she gives me a really malicious vibe, but I'm not sure if that's just because of some of the faces she pulls?

Twitchynose · 20/07/2021 02:59

Really got to wonder about the casting this year, do they not do any sort of psychological screening? Considering all the be kind and suicide of previous cast members, surely they must assess them?
Faye is lovely but clearly has massive insecurities, Rachel also seemed to struggle. Danny is being set up to be ripped apart when he leaves (he may or may not be deserving of this). How all that showing concern for the psychological safety of the cast?
Totally agree that Lucinda is only in there for the deals she can get out of it afterwards. I’m sure that’s why she’s playing the guys like she is, to raise her profile. Equally, that’s the only reason Danny is in there, the fact that on his first dates he was plugging his clothing brand demonstrated that perfectly.
I want “Jiberty” to be true love, but fear I’ll be sadly disappointed!

HopeYourHighHorseBucks · 20/07/2021 06:31

Every year someone is thrown in to the mix to be the villain. Looks like Danny is this years one. He does come across controlling but cant agree it's because of his looks, my local gym is full of men that look like this. My DB is heavily tattooed and a flips between a skin head and a quiff, definitely not a racist thug.

Lucinda annoys me now, only really drags her words out and talks childish around or when speaking about men. Some women think it makes them cute etc.

I like Aaron and the way he handled getting "swerved" by Lucinda the other night made me laugh and shows hes a nice guy who can laugh at himself. I'm hoping him and Kaz have a light bulb moment and realise they love each other Grin

I miss Ovie.

Bluntness100 · 20/07/2021 06:42

Actually I think Danny pulling back from Lucinda, which let’s face it he did, he was mimicking her and pied her, was the sensible thing to do. Lucinda didn’t actually dump him he got in their first, becayse he realised she just wasn’t interested. I suspect if he hadn’t she’d still be deciding which one she preferred.

TitsInAbsentia · 20/07/2021 07:07

@Stardust91

I wonder how genuine the vote counting is, in the end of the day we don't get detailed results and I do wonder if results are changed to fit the producers' narrative, so now it's more of a question of who they want to get rid of.
I always wonder this too. my guess is if its the people they want in the bottom it will be straightforward islanders have to dump a boy or a girl, but they could stretch it to bottom two boys and girls if it fits their agenda better.

either way I would like Lucinda to be dropped, she adds nothing.

IsabellesMissingSock · 20/07/2021 07:36

Yes it's time for Lucinda to go, she's so bland and just adds nothing. And actually, I don't think she's all that looks-wise either. She's got quite a generic "pretty" look going on, but nothing that really stands out IMO.

bagforlifelady · 20/07/2021 08:05

Millie and Liam are my favourites I think. I do wonder if she'd go for him on the outside though.

bibliomania · 20/07/2021 08:09

Oh yes, Lucinda would have been hesitating between the two as long as possible, because it's a storyline and would have got her airtime.

Battleofwhocouldcareless · 20/07/2021 08:24

I like most of the girls and Liam and Teddy. Faye has really grown on me, she's such a good sport.

Me too.

@TheLittleRedToothbrush

Mmmmm I'm sure I didn't imagine or dream this but now can't find the link but ... I read last night that Danny's last ex is now in Majorca and is possibly going into the villa ..Confused
I've seen that too. Maybe she'll be in Casa Amor...think they've done that a few seasons ago
Newpuppymummy · 20/07/2021 08:52

Favourite girl Liberty
Favourite boy Aaron

ArsenicNLace · 20/07/2021 08:54

@riotlady

“You’re like a Lamborghini that don’t work” that’s actually how Danny views women isn’t it, they’re pretty objects but they’re faulty if they don’t immediately fawn over him
That was petty much my thoughts. He just wants a possession that fits in with an image. Successful man, flash car with a pretty blonde in it. It doesn't matter that the blonde is totally vacuous and superficial, has no intelligence or conversation but that's fine as long as she looks the part.

I thought it even stranger as when he was mimicking her it was clear he could see she has no substance but he'd rather have that than some one he can actually have a meaningful relationship with. In fact didn't he say that his last relationship ended because he went purely for looks and there was nothing more so he clearly doesn't learn.

Aaron really went down in my estimation when he went for for her. He is an intelligent bloke and I couldn't see what could attract him to her apart from superficial looks. After the novelty wore off he'd be bored stiff in a few weeks!.

spookycookies · 20/07/2021 09:00

Brad was speaking on the podcast and said that there's a lot more to Aaron and Lucindas relationship that we didn't see so sounds like to could be genuine she just liked Brad more at the time.

I voted tactically. I'm not bothered about the couples but who brings the most drama. I like Liberty and Hugo best but they are boring if I'm being honest.

rishisboater · 20/07/2021 09:19

@bagforlifelady

Millie and Liam are my favourites I think. I do wonder if she'd go for him on the outside though.
Yeah if you look at her Instagram she's pretty cool and her friends look a bit edgy... in a good way. I don't think Liam would be cool enough for her or move in the same circles.

I guess that's what's good about love island though, people mixing who ordinarily wouldn't

Ughmaybenot · 20/07/2021 09:33

Tbf very good points made about Liam and Millie, he does seem a bit in awe of her generally. I hope they last tho, they are sweet together and clearly fancy each other very much.

KarenofSparta · 20/07/2021 09:40

Does anyone truly believe that Danny's (apparent) ex , who's flown to Malaga & Lucinda's (apparent) footballer ex are actually exes at all?

Or are they inspired by what Olivia Atwood did? It got her her own show I suppose 🤷🏻‍♀️.
