New drama starts tonight. Know there’s a few of us that love an all weekl drama

Anna from England and husband Jake from Australia move back to oz to to make a fresh start on their marriage

They hire Becky to be their nanny to their 2 kids

Not sure what it’s about but we love a drama and murder and thriller so hopefully will be good

Lie With Me is a chilling tale that follows Anna and Jake Fallmont, a married couple who have made the decision to move from London all the way to Australia. They’re heading out to start afresh together after their happy marriage was rocked by Jake's affair.

Although things start out promising for them, it's clear that there are still issues with their relationship. Deadly consequences arise for the couple after they hire Becky, a young local nanny (Phoebe Roberts) who definitely isn't quite as innocent as she first appears... and the whole situation will eventually lead to murder!

Will be watching Wink

Underbox · 12/07/2021 18:56

I'll give this a go tonight - will make a nice change from the football!

MissyB1 · 12/07/2021 19:03

Yes! this sounds promising. I love a murder story. I was only saying to dh earlier I cant wait for some new dramas to start.

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/07/2021 20:54

Hoping it will be good. I’m working (as usual lol when dramas on) so will to catch it on my 5 later or watch tomorrow

Too obvious Jake sleeps with the nanny isn’t it

Then again some of The recent itv ch4 ch5 dramas have been obvious 😂😂

Watching, nice house - aren't they always

Graphista · 12/07/2021 21:10

Needed a new show to get my teeth into!

I want her shoes! I mean I couldn't walk in them but they're gorgeous! That striped thing on the other hand... nanny did her a favour there!

Graphista · 12/07/2021 21:12

Gah missed that! What was in the bottle that was thrown?!

Housewife2010 · 12/07/2021 21:14

Definitely. The striped dress was awful and very unflattering. She looks much slimmer and more elegant in the black dress.
I do find a lot of these channel 5 daily dramas fizzle out by the end but it's very watchable so far.

SingToTheSky · 12/07/2021 21:16

I don’t know why I sign in to all these threads when I never keep up with new telly but you never know, 127th time’s a charm right? 🤣

spinningspaniels · 12/07/2021 21:21

I love Brett Tucker (McLeod's daughters and Mistresses) but I'm finding it hard to warm to Charlie Brooker...........

It is on channel 5 which usually means it's going to be a turkey so I'm not overly invested so far.

RedRiverShore · 12/07/2021 21:22

Bottle was fluoxetine, Google tells me that's Prozac

Graphista · 12/07/2021 21:23

Yea that's Prozac, hardly controversial!

Graphista · 12/07/2021 22:00

Well that was a shit ton of spoilers at the end!

Hope there's another twist to come

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/07/2021 22:00

Behind as on my 5

But yes an awful stripy dress. !!!

A big house but why are the kids sharing a room

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 12/07/2021 22:06

If Liam the gardener thinks there is something wrong in the house and nanny should get out while she can

Why hasn’t he left

OP posts:
Clawdy · 12/07/2021 22:13

I feel we should be firmly on Anna's side, but she is not likeable. And she never seems to have any contact with the children!

lazymum99 · 12/07/2021 22:48

Blimey the preview of tomorrow’s has gone all 50 shades. It’s watchable because of that lovely house. But a bit crap so far.
Why do people have huge houses and then put
the baby in with the older child?

Xmasbaby11 · 12/07/2021 22:58

The plot doesn't really make sense and I can't warm to the main characters. I somehow sat through the hour though and will probably watch it again!

Xmasbaby11 · 12/07/2021 22:59

I wonder if in Australian houses they have fewer huge bedrooms?

MrsFin · 12/07/2021 23:11

Too obvious Jake sleeps with the nanny isn’t it

Yep.

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/07/2021 23:26

Hmmmm seems I was wrong

A very passionate affair with the nanny

Tho mummy. Was expecting to see nappies 😂😂

What a horrible hubby to make her think she was going mad

Looking forward to tomorrow

OP posts:
Clawdy · 13/07/2021 08:30

Yes, he's horrible, but she was a bit mad to sit in a taxi watching outside his workplace, then go and accost his secretary accusing her loudly of fucking her husband!

ChloeAndRadcliffe · 13/07/2021 09:09

That's all part of their plan though, isn't it? They want to make her look crazy so she won't get custody of the kids, and the husband told the nanny to tell the wife to go and confront the secretary. Gaslighting 101!
It seems rather far-fetched but it's nice to have something to watch after two weeks of nothing but sport, so I'm prepared to lower my standards a bit...

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/07/2021 10:09

Many on mn know I’m easily pleased on drama /tv 😂

Wondering if she is dead as beginning says , she keeps asking fir her mummy - how /what do we tell her daughter
