65" and sit 4m away from it

It's great

Holothane · 05/07/2021 21:54

65 inch about 3 or 4 foot not sure love it, for bad eyes it’s fabulous I get wonderful picture on it.

UCOinSteveArnottsPants · 06/07/2021 15:32

50” and love it. Sit about 2m away? I didn’t want it but dh bought it anyway and he was right to do so in hindsight. Love it.

HaveANiceFuckingDay · 06/07/2021 15:48

50” .I’d like bigger but we built the wall with the tv to fit . We’d have to knock out more wall ruin the fabric wallpaper etc , it would just cost too much

Neondisco · 06/07/2021 15:55

34"

My partner always says its too small for the room. In particular that you can't see the ball when he's watching rugby or football. I'd say we sit 2m away max.

Mansplainee · 06/07/2021 16:19

I have absolutely no idea how big our TV is!

Eleoura · 06/07/2021 16:22

I've read that you never regret getting a large TV, but you often regret getting one that's too small!

Ours is 55inch and we sit 3-4m away. Got it 10yrs ago, but wish we'd got slightly bigger Grin

Jubbies · 06/07/2021 16:23

65inch, sit about 3 metres away. It's fab, crystal clear.

AuntieStella · 06/07/2021 16:24

22inch in the sitting room, and a little one in our bedroom.

I watch from across the room 3-4m?

Kottbullar · 06/07/2021 16:39

43 inch and 3 or 4m away depending on where your sat.
I wanted 32" and DH wanted 50" so it was a fair compromise but I don't love it.

BichonFrizz · 06/07/2021 17:19

32inch. Anything bigger would swamp my tiny lounge.

1starwars2 · 06/07/2021 17:29

@holothane Do you really sit that close to a large TV?
Are you my DS who I constantly telling to move back.
We have a 55" and sit 2 m away.

Holothane · 06/07/2021 17:40

Yes I’m registered blind so very short sighted,

GiantToadstool · 06/07/2021 17:42

34inch. Hate it when the tv dominates. If I had a bigger house and a separate room I'd probbaly get abigger one though...

MuchTooTired · 06/07/2021 17:45

70” and sit about 2m away from it I think - I’ve never measured it!

MonkeyPuddle · 06/07/2021 17:48

32 inch. We’ll probably get a new TV in the next few years as this one is pretty old and DP keeps muttering about the picture quality. But I don’t want anything larger.
We sit about 3-4m away.

TooBigForMyBoots · 06/07/2021 18:19

32" refurbished TV that arrived today.Grin

FixTheBone · 06/07/2021 18:31

55" and sit about 2m away. I love my giant telly.

LightAsTheBreeze · 06/07/2021 19:30

Just bought a brand new Samsung TV which is 50 inches and we sit 8-9 feet away and it's just right, our old tv was 40 and seemed slightly small. If you watch in 4k apparently you can sit nearer than HD or SD.

This is the maximum size that fits in our TV corner anyway.

LightAsTheBreeze · 06/07/2021 19:34

We got a QLed and one of the reasons we picked this particular one from Samsung was because some of their TVs have anti glare screens and ours catches the light from the bay window so our last TV was sometimes harder to watch if it was bright.

Helendee · 06/07/2021 20:58

32 inches and I sit about 8 feet away. X

Divineswirls · 06/07/2021 21:28

42 inches approx. Which seems huge to me so 65 inch just wow.

I do feel sorry for people stuck with a tiny old fashioned 32 inch screen because their other half doesn't want a bigger one because they think it's common or doesn't go with the furniture.

Grounds for divorce methinks for the pointless bloody mindedness Grin

Holothane · 06/07/2021 22:38

My dream tv is 100 inches, (wishful thinking) or life size (now that is a dream)

mrsanflowerpot · 06/07/2021 22:45

75", I didn't want it at all, DH bought it when we moved house and I scowl at it when I walk past - but it's bloody good for films and watching the football Wink
