I'm sure I heard them saying that Angleique Kerber would be playing again tomorrow. It will be much better next year with play on the Sunday instead of packing all the last 16 games into one day.

Have discovered that the Felix AA match is back on. The rain break helped Zverev, alas.

I agree, @RaraRachael. Especially when there are rain delays, it's so much to pack in. I wish it was spread over 3 weeks, then we could see more of the matches!

As a casual tennis watcher who doesn’t really pay much attention outside the Slams it seems to me that the standard in the women’s game has declined significantly in recent years. I haven’t seen anyone at RG or here who would stand a chance of taking a set off Serena, Steffi or Martina at their peaks. Osaka can look good, but she is a one-dimensional hard court specialist.

Am I wrong?

@GirlAloud I think you are wrong, with respect. The women's game may lack a lot of convincing stars but it's a much more powerful game than it used to be. These women would blast Martina and Steffi off the court. It never works well to compare historical tennis players with current somehow.
