Carla is just old and boring. Back in the day she had lots of interesting story lines and dramas. But here we are owns the factory and living with Peter (if we ever see him again) I don’t want hear she’s off to met a knickers man for the next 10years and swanning about with a Costa.

As to the rest - I prefer when Corrie does what it does best; reflects the fascination of everyday life and its twists and turns, its humour and tragedy.

I dislike dramatic organised crime and drugs storylines etc.

Agree I’m watching classic and make normal story line last for months. No high drama for week then then another big thing. But we don’t even have small stories apart from will Little Quad get implant.

I'm still tickled by Gail sitting in bed moaning about spending her whole life just being a mother. She obviously forgot about the 5 husbands she acquired along the way. I wonder if we'll hear she's met number 6 when she clears off for some peace and quiet.

Talking of multiple marriages and unrealistic twaddle, in that one street there have been several residents who have each been married 4 or 5 or even more times. Ken, Steve, Gail and I am sure there will be others I can't think of just now.

It’s the number of couples who have divorced and then remarried that gets me. In real life, most people don’t know even one couple who has done that. In Corrie, in the Barlow family alone you’ve got Ken and Deirdre, Peter and Carla and Steve and Tracy! That’s before you even consider Kevin and Sally, Liz and Jim, Gail and Brian… come to think of it, I think Gail and Martin and Peter and Leanne are the only couples who have divorced and not remarried (when both characters stayed around).

Toyah suggesting she would like to go to the chocolatier experience with Leanne was ridiculous too. She's vegan and would surely have pointed out if it were a vegan chocolatier experience.

Has Leanne got any friends? Not really, I think the offer was to save Nik having to go.
