I'm looking forward to watching Humbert later. He played really well yesterday. Maybe a Wimbledon contender?

Raahh · 18/06/2021 12:15

Jane I think he could do really well-he got to the 4th round in 2019. It might be the most open Wimbledon for a while. Even though I don't trust Djok Grin and never count him out- even with very little grass preparation- he could be rusty.

This might be the Wimbledon that throws up a few surprises.
If no-one else drops out Grin.
Djok can drop out, if he wants

Grin.

No fear unless there's a worldwide "date" shortage or something.

magimedi · 18/06/2021 13:49

Whilst I appreciate that BBC can't help the rain, I don't find King Kong a great substitute for tennis!

Raahh · 18/06/2021 13:52

Fortunately I can watch Halle- and it's Felix next against Giron- though I would rather be watching Marin (sorry Felix[grin).

Raahh · 18/06/2021 13:55

And it looks like I won't get to Angry- because I've seen that his match has now been bumped to court 1. And the next match on Centre is now scheduled fot 3pm- and will be Evans.

I think today might be a washout anyway (Andrew Cotter- weatherman extraordinaire, said yesterday that it might be).

Raahh · 18/06/2021 13:56

I suppose, in fairness, the Lovely Matteo is the number 1 seed Grin

Well, Humbert is doing well, and the commentary team are getting into the music- just had 'Sweet Caroline'.

I still don't know why RG couldnt have had some music - would have made the night matches, less deathly quiet.

Fizzywinegum · 18/06/2021 16:34

King Kong Grin

Ooh Berretini and Dan are on court - AC is giving us another weather report - he thinks it might rain again. Matteo will cheer up a gloomy Friday Smile

Fergus of the immaculate beard is the umpire Grin

Bugger! Close first set. Wrong result!

And Cilic won his first set - but is behind in the second.

meanwhile, in Halle- Humbert is in a tight 3 set against Korda.

JaneJeffer · 18/06/2021 18:00

Well done Ugo.

JaneJeffer · 18/06/2021 18:03

Come on Dan!

Raahh · 18/06/2021 18:06

What happened to 'going to the red button at 6pm sharp- because repeats of 'House of Games' are vitally important (now Eggheads is no more).

Raahh · 18/06/2021 18:06

Oh- Sue - Voice of Doom must have seen me typing Grin.

JaneJeffer · 18/06/2021 18:07

Could it possibly be anything to do with an English man? Just a wild guess.

JaneJeffer · 18/06/2021 18:13

Berrettini reminds me of Federer. He is so composed and never seems to break a sweat but is a really powerful player.

Raahh · 18/06/2021 18:13

Jane now, whatever made you think that? Wink

Well done, Matteo Grin

JaneJeffer · 18/06/2021 18:14

Raahh · 18/06/2021 18:15

I want Berrettini to do well at Wimbledon- I think he has a good chance, not necessarily winning- but certainly going far.

He has lovely hair. Grin

Don't get involved in football- you'll get lynched!

Raahh · 18/06/2021 18:21

Not going so well for marin- he's a break down in the 3rd- come on Marin!
